Name: Lucee
Age: 17
Favourite Subject at Hogwarts:
Transfiguration and Potions. I relish in change and yet, am obsessed with the traditional. Transforming objects into other things allows me to release their potential and hi-light my own abilities. I adore potions because one of my favorite pass times was cooking with my mother, and by bringing magic into the mix, I am able to make intricate concoctions that can affect not only the senses but life itself.
How do you spend your leisure time at Hogwarts?:
As I said, I am a traditional sort of girl, I spend quite a bit of my time reading and doing traditional crafts taught to me by my adoptive grandmother, such as knitting and crochet. Although I can do these tasks by magic I gain much more satisfaction from doing it by hand. I usually craft either in my dormitory, house commons, or on the grounds under a big tree (far away from the Whomping Willow ;) ) or by the Lake.
If you could store one memory in a Pensieve, what would it be?
Well, to be honest, I’m not sure I like the idea of just anyone being able to peek into my mind. Also, I’m a bit scared that by putting my memories into a Pensieve they would loose the emotion I’ve attached to them.
If you were to face a boggart, what would it turn into?:
Hmmm. . . This one is a tough one. If I ever faced a boggart I think it would turn into myself. Only this would be me as a failure, poor, and neglected, possibly in some sort of menial job in the Ministry, in a sector that doesn’t matter, possibly the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts office or something ridiculous like that.
What would you see in the Mirror of Erised?:
Myself with a notable husband and three children, two girls and a boy. A large comfortable house, with a housekeeper.
What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself? Never give up, and never take “No” for an answer if someone has what you want. Just try another, possibly illegal way to get what you need.
Would you have put your name in the Goblet of Fire?:
While I would have liked to think I would, I certainly don’t think I would have been brave enough to put it in knowing that my life was in danger. Self-preservation is very important to me, seeing as I’m the last of my bloodline.
Harry Potter: Hero, Attention-Seeker, or Normal Kid in a Bad
Situation? And Why?
I think Harry is just annoying. He is the epitome of an attention-seeking emo kid. While I understand he has the right to be an emo kid, with all that happened in his past, why can’t he let the past go. He is in a new world, the Wizarding World, surely he can find something here to make him happy, we’ve got all the best.
Voldemort: Evil, Genius, or just plain Misunderstood? And why?
While I do not agree with some of his tactics I believe that Voldemort is a magnificent Wizard, to be both feared and respected. He has created a magnificent organizational network of Wizards. It’s an amazing feat. So indeed I respect him. He is a hero of sorts.
Under what circumstances would you use an Unforgivable Curse?:
Threat to family or friends. Although I would consider using it to stop a catastrophe that would harm a very large amount of people, especially people I am connected to, like a bomb or something similar. Or if it was necessary as part of my job.
What single quality goes the furthest in defining who you are?:
I would have to say that my stubbornness is my most defining trait. While it is not especially flattering for someone else to say this, I think that this trait is important to my personality because it shows that I’m not one to take any crap from anyone. I will do something only when I want to do it, and only then if it gets me something in return. This is especially true with school work, although I long ago discovered that doing it is to my advantage, if a professor assigns busy work, I will simply ignore it, unless it has a valuable purpose for me.
What makes a person respectable?:
Their past. This includes their past actions, thoughts, and morals taught to them by their relatives. These morals might have something to do with bloodline as well, so that does play a factor, however blood purity is not the be-all-end-all.
If you had to choose between your family, your friends, and your own beliefs, what would you do?
While family and friends are important, I was always taught that one’s beliefs are most important. Because if family or friends refuse to accept your beliefs, they were never truly your family or your friend.
What do you look for in a friend?:
Wit, Quick Thinking, Understanding, Mischief, Playfulness, Smarts, either of the book or street variety. These qualities are what a friend needs to keep up with me, so that we can challenge each other mentally, with conversation.
Put the following words in order of importance to you: Duty, Family, Friendship, Honor, Justice, Power, Tradition:
Tradition, Family, Honor, Power, Duty, Friendship, Justice
If you could have either a well paid easy job that did not task you mentally, or a lower paying job which gave you the freedom to pursue your interests, which would you choose?
I think I would love a job that challenged me mentally, but if I was very well rewarded for taking on an easy job, I think I would make that sacrifice, because, after all I could do something else while at work to challenge my mind, like sudoku, or something like that.
What qualities do you possess from each of the four houses?:
Ravenclaw: Curiosity, Intellect, Wit.
Gryffindor: Passionate, Big Goals.
Hufflepuff: Relatively Loyal.
Slytherin: Subtle, Goal-driven, Independent.
If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?:
Well, I wish I could have more confidence. I’m not quiet or anything, but I do wish that I could be more confident in front of people I don’t know.
If you were an animagus, what would you turn into? (Assuming that the animal reflects the person, it is not chosen.):
I think I would be some sort of primate, or lemur, because these animals are extremely intelligent, but are not afraid to take big risks.
In which house do you think you belong, and why?:
Well, I’m a die hard Slytherin fan, but I think I could also fit into Ravenclaw fairly well.
How did you find us? If it was from a post say where and who posted it.:
It was someone who is also a member of HP_Knits, but after looking through their whole journal, I can’t remember who it was, sorry ;-;
P.S. this looks like a great community, I'm looking forward to helping it flourish. ;D
