'Twas th' nigh' befor' Christmas, when all through th' hut,
Not a creature was stirrin', not even th' mutt.
Th' cauldrons were hung by the chimn'y wi' care,
In 'opes tha' I'd find me a dragon's egg there.

Th' creatures were settled, all snug in 'eir beds,
While visions of House Elves danced in 'eir 'eads.
An' Fang in 'is blankie, and I in me cap,
Had just drunk ourselves into a fair winter's nap.

When ou' on th' grounds, there 'rose such a clatt'r,
Tha' Fang cowr'd in fear an' forgot 'is bladder.
"Oh, Fang, yeh great coward," I sighed to meself,
I sidestepped th' mess, and hung onto th' shelf.

I looked ou' o' me window, through all o' th' snow,
An' noticed summat strange on th' groun' below.
Blimey! But what should I see 'ere wi' me own eyes
Bu' a crate tha' was jumpin' and held down by four ties.

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the castle,
The students were sleeping, no young ones to hassle.
The great hall was decked out in snowflakes and bows,
And Filch looked out fondly on bright mistletoe.

The Gryffindors snuggled all warm in their beds,
And visions of glory slow-danced through their heads.
The Hufflepuffs slumbered, the Ravenclaws, too,
And even the Slytherins bid plotting adieu.

When by Hagrid's hut there arose such a clatter,
All sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.
The Weasley twins lay all sprawled out in the snow,
As fireworks lit up the landscape below.

The light of the sparklers upon frozen snow
Let each student witness the Fred and George show.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But Dumbledore dressed as a lively reindeer.

Twas the night before Christmas, when in Gryffindor halls
Just four creatures were stirring, for mischief on call.
Stockings were hung by dorm beds with care,
Not knowing Marauders soon would be there!

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of dung bombs danced in Padfoot’s head.
And Moony with soft paws, and Wormtail ducked low,
Followed Prongs on their mission of seaonsal woe!

Soon, out in the halls there arose such a clatter,
Gryffs sprang from the beds to see what was the matter.
All of a sudden, mist covered the hall,
And a terrible pong covered Gryffindors all!

The peace of that midwinter Yule eve night,
Was shattered in horror, bad fragrance and fright.
And what, to boys’ triumphant eyes, should appear…
But enraged Hogwarts staff wondering what they could hear!

And the rest of the Great Entries!!!

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Hogwarts
Not a ghost was gliding, not even Dementors.
The stockings were hung in the Great Hall with care,
In hopes that Proffesor Dumbledore soon would be there.

The students were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Quidditch games played in their heads.
And McGonagall in her ‘kerchief, and Dumbledore in his cap,
Had just settled there wands for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the pitch there arose such a clatter,
Harry sprang from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window he flew like a flash,
Lifted up the curtains and looked out on the grass.

The moon on the Quiddditch Pitch with the new fallen snow
Gave the view of Voldemort and the Death Eaters below.
When shocked to see those creeping at night,
He dashed from his room to put up a fight.

snuggled
When down in the common room there arose such a clatter,
All the students sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.
Away to the staircase they flew like a flash,
Stopping short to see what had crashed.

The shadows on the wall painted a scene
Of the Marauders being quite mean.
When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,
But Severus Snape dangling up in the air, pulling at Padfoot's ear.

crimsontears
Twas the night before Christmas, when all around Hogwarts
Not a student was stirring, not even the Boggarts.
The owls were swooping by the towers with care,
Even Dumbledore was asleep in his chair.

The children were nestled all snug in their bunks,
While the elves placed presents all upon their trunks.
And Hermione in her S.P.E.W. nightie, and Ron in his long johns,
Had just settled thier brains and rested their wands.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
Hagrid came from his cabin in all of his matter.
Out to forrest his ran with great might,
only to discover a very strange sight.

He came to a patch of newly fallen snow.
And there he laid down his all mighty bow.
When, there in a brush all covered with thorns,
was Voldemort in a red suit drinking the blood of unicorns.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through our house
All creatures were stirring, especially the mouse (Rat, James! I'm a rat!).
The dungbombs were hung by the staircase with care,
In hopes that Ole Snivellus soon would be there.

Us children were nestled all snug in our places,
Each Maurader just sitting, manning our bases.
And Moony in his corner, and I with my cap,
Had created the plan during long winter’s naps.

When down the great stairs there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my post to see what was the matter.
Away to the railing I flew like a flash,
To see Snivelly all smelly, and caught up in the sash.

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the school
wandered the students all looking for something to do.
Fred and George were in trouble, Ron was currently molting
he had found the Canary Creams to be simply revolting.

McGonagall was found to be frantically pacing about,
Moaning Myrtle had flung herself in the loo, with a pout.
Hermione was studying; taking no time to stare
at Malfoy who had morphed to a ferret, mid-air.

Hagrid stood watching and was slightly amused
to find Lucius Malfoy being house-elf abused.
Longbottom was quietly taking in the scene,
when suddenly there erupted a very a loud scream.

Everyone dashed to the stairs and up them they flew
Their feet finally taking them to Harry's room.
And there he was found, screaming with glee
"Voldemort has been vanquished, I'm finally free!"

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the castle
Not a thing was stiring, not even a tassle.
The caulderons were hung by the bed posts with care,
In hopes that St. Dumbledore soon would be there.

The students were curled up in their beds,
While visions of pumpkin-pasties dances in their heads.
And McGonagall in her 'kerchief and Snape in his cap,
Had just settled their brains for a very short nap.

When out on the grounds there arose such a clatter,
Snape sprung from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the front door he flew like his arse had been singed,
Tore open the lock and broke off the hinge.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should show,
But a gigantic flying carraige all a glow.

maegwin_of_hern
Twas the night before Yule, when all through the school
Not a creature was stirring, not even a ghul.
The stockings were hung by the chimneys with care,
In hopes that some house-elf soon would be there.

The students were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of treacle tarts danced in their heads.
And Mrs. Weasley in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the grounds there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.

Twas the night before Christmas, and through Ravenclaw house
The only creature stirring was the Care-Of-Magical-Creatures-project mouse.
The house elfs had cleaned all the chimneys with care
For they knew Nearly-Headless Nicholas soon would be there.

The students were nestled in their four poster beds,
While visions of treacle tart danced in their heads.
And the Grey Lady in her kercheif, and Nick in his hat,
Had arranged a great prank involving Filch's cat.

When down in the common room there arose such a clatter,
The Claws sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.
Away from their dorm rooms they flew like a flash,
Tumbled down the stairs, and landed with a crash.

The moon on the bars of the empty mouse cage
Made the tiny little first years howl with righteous rage
When what to their wondering eyes should appear
But a whisker of Mrs. Norris, and a single mouse ear.

acidroses
Twas the first of September, when all through the castle
Not a house-elf was stirring, not even to hassle.
The hat was sat on the bookshelf with care,
So when sorting time came it would always be there.

The students were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of treacle tarts dnaced in their heads.
And Snape in his cauldron and Grawp on his trees,
Had just settled themselves to catch a few z's.

When out on the lake there arose such a splash,
I sprang from bed, wand aloft, in a flash.
Out of the window I flew on my broom,
Crashing through the glass and into the gloom.

The moonlight on the face of the silver pool
Gave forth the reflection of Hogwarts school.
When, what do my wondering eyes see from afar,
But tentacles wrapped 'round a Ford Anglia car.

Twas the night before the Yule Ball, when all through Hogwarts
Not a creature was stirring, not even Voldemort.
The robes were hung by the bedsides with care,
In hopes that the Weird Sisters soon would be there.

Hermione was nestled all snug in her bed,
While visions of a hot young Weasley danced in her head.
And Ron in his sweater, and Harry with his scar,
Had just settled down with dreams of a flying car.

When out in the hall there arose such a clatter,
Harry sprang from his bed to see the Fat Lady fall with a splatter.
Away down the stairs he ran towards the front,
Tore open the door and started his hunt.

The moon on the breast of the bare chested Voldy
Gave a lustre to skin that did look quite moldy.
but what did Harry just say to himself
Why there is ole Dobby, and eight tiny house elves!

cantatrix05
The twenty-fourth of December and Hogwarts was quiet.
Disturbing the peace? Not even Potter would try it.
When the Yule feast was eaten, anticipation would grow.
Even magical children hope Father Christmas will show.

The firsties are dreaming of chocolate frogs,
While thrill-seeking seventh years sip smuggled 'nog.
Dumbledore's toasting his socks by the fire,
And Min hums a tune learned from Hogwarts' Yule choir.

A crash and a "Bollicks!" broke the castle's calm bubble.
Our man Potter just can't keep his nose out of trouble
So he ran to the window and gave a weak yelp.
Outside lay Father Christmas and a scrofulous elf!

lionheart22
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the second floor,
Not a creature was stirring, not even Dumbledore,
His stockings were chamrmed by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas could catch them in mid air,

The headmaster was nestled all snug in his bed,
While decisions of acid-pops or lemon drops danced in his head.
And I in my night robes, clad in crimson and gold,
Had just settled my body away from the long winter's cold.

When out below the tower there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
"Open!" I whispered and from my wand came a flash,
It opened the windows, flew apart the drapes and their sash.

The moon on the breast of the undistubred lake,
Gave the lustre of mid-day to the Mer-People below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the castle
The students had all given up on the hassle
Their books tossed aside with nary a care
Delighted that Christmas soon would be there.

The students were nestled in tight, it is true
They all slept so soundly, they hadn't a clue
That all of the dreams of the gifts in their heads
Would simply appear while they slept in their beds.

With a cold rush of air and flutter of wings
The owls arrived to deliver these things
Broomsticks and candies and Sneak-o-scopes too
And best wishes of "Merry Christmas to you!"
