Christine tilts her head to the side, blonde hair rippling over her shoulders. "Pray excuse me, but what is euchre? Oh! Where are my manners?" She curtsied. "Christine Daae, at your service, Mademoiselle. I am very pleased to meet you."

Camilla doesn't generally get along with other women, but she gives Christine a slight smile, pleased with her manners. "It's nice to meet you as well. You're very polite. I'm Camilla, but I suppose the application already told you that. And euchre is a card game. It's usually for four players."

"Oh, thank you," Christine replied politely. "I'm afraid I'm not familiar with many card games. I know the ballet girls love to play them, but the managers have always discouraged the singers from interacting with the dancers. Perhaps you could teach me the game, sometime, if you have the time or the inclination?"

"I'd ... like that, very much."

And she's surprised by the fact that, indeed, she really would like that. She hasn't associated with anyone other than Nana in such a long time, not since her brother ... well, left.

"There is a kind of two-player version we could manage."

Christine beamed at her. "Oh, that would be lovely! I'm sure we could find two others to join us, if the two-person game doesn't work. Oh! I forgot again. Where would you like to be Sorted?"

*looks doubtful for a moment* Does it matter much? What house are you in, and do you like it?

"Ah... not really, I think. The Sorting Hat puts you where you have the greatest chance of being with like-minded people, regardless of the votes cast. I'm in Hufflepuff myself. Everyone there is wonderfully kind and welcoming."

Are the other houses as welcoming as Hufflepuff?

"I wouldn't know, but I'm sure they are. As far as I can tell, Gryffindor is for the brave and daring, Hufflepuff is for the loyal and kind, Ravenclaw is for the intelligent and... thirsty... and Slytherin is for the cunning and ambitious."

Vote me into whichever you think best, then. I don't really have a preference, as long as I can learn magic.

Vote: Ravenclaw! every_daae October 9 2006, 02:54:22 UTC
"Well, if you're here to learn, you;d do best in Ravenclaw. Just mind all the alcohol they've floating about." Christine curtsied politely and smiled. "It was lovely meeting you. I do hope you enjoy your stay."
