It was something of a multipurpose building anyway, serving not only as a temple but also a treasury for the dues of the Delian Alliance; why not include a bar as well? One might well pour out libations there.

I see. You seem t'be somethin' of a classicist, Ms. Macaulay. Have you any views on ancient Greek an' Roman law you wouldn't mind sharin' with me?

We mostly studied drama and poetry. There really isn't a corpus of ancient Greek law per se; you have to make inferences from Plato's discussion of laws, and the fragments of Theophrastus.

*apologetic, with a faint thin smile* I'm not much of a legal expert. I worked as a secretary for my uncle's law firm over school holidays when I was a student, but that was just answering the phone, really.
