Cher Monsieur Hat,
At my Sorting, you kindly offered to sing a duet again with me. I believe there is to be a 'karoke' night on Thursday, and I would very much like to sing with you then.

How lovely that you remembered my offer! I would be both delighted and honored to sing with you at this Karaoke night. Do you have a particular song you would like to sing?
Sincerely,
The Sorting Hat

I'm so glad that we shall sing together once more! I have no preference, but I'm sure I could find a lovely operatic duet if you wished. If you have a song in mind, I should be glad to sing it.

We shall have such a delightful time singing a duet, and I am sure everyone in attendance will benefit greatly from hearing us perform. I imagine I can find another old folk ballad, though most of the ones I know are just a bit risque. However, as I chose our last piece, I believe it would be more gentlema--, erm, hatl-- erm, courteous of me to allow you to make the choice this time. And I must admit that I also greatly desire to hear your lovely voice performing in its natural element.
Sincerely,
The Sorting Hat

That really is too kind of you. Would Sempre Libre from La Traviata be out of your range? If that doesn't work, I discovered this lovely new opera called La bohème. The duet O soave fanciulla is said to be quite wonderful.
