Agnes walked briskly down the ward, checking the charts and adjusting some of the potions. Volunteers were so hard to keep right sometimes. She nearly smiled briefly to Jack as she passed, but schooled herself firmly. He only got one corner turning up, which was still pretty impressive. Oh, god, she forgot the scary one.

Rumpleteazer goes in slowly, SLOWLY, trying very hard not to attract Agnes' wrath.

Damn. She still needs to attract her attention, though.

Agnes glared down at the cat, her hand inching towards her wand. "I tolde Cox not to sende animals into the Hospital Wing, or I'd hex them." she threatened.

Gabbling, 'I'm not sent by a Cox and it's, um, the talking cat who didn't want kittens and I forgot to see you I'm really sorry but I'm not dirty so please don't kill me?'

Agnes' frown deepened, but her hand went slowly back to it's origional position. "So, what was it you wanted, dear? I didn't quite catch it there."

Lily hurried into the Wing, dropping her pile of books off in the back room and pulling her hair back. Walking over to Jack - smiling softly at JD's sleeping form in a nearby bed - she picked up his chart and glanced at it. "How're you feeling, mate?" she asked. Pulling out a quill, she checked his vitals, making notes as she went along.

"Least he's sleeping." Jack said following Lily's gaze. "I didn't." He confessed. "I'm better now, I hope... Anyway you can tell me the good news." Jack gave Lily a smile.

"He needs it," she said, her eyes glancing up from Jack's chart to JD. Then she swung her gaze to him and gave him a mock-frown. "But you need it more, mate. Why didn't you say something? We could have given you a sleeping draught at the least. You have to sleep, or you won't get well." Her hand light on his wrist, she checked his pulse. "You're looking a little better today," she grinned at him. "Not enough to get out of bed mind you, but you've some colour again, which is good."

Finishing her notes, she put the chart back and reached over to fluff at Jack's pillow. "Now, do you reckon you could eat? I was thinking of starting you on some broth and the like - pending Madame Nutter's approval, of course." She flashed him another grin and wrinkled her nose.

"What's he been doing?" Jack smiled. "He better not have been fussing over me. Well least when I wasn't aware of it." Then laughed. "I'm not a big fan of sleeping at the best of times. Food does sound good..." Jack considered. "Do I get to see the menu as broth..." Jack didn't like the idea of that and made a face at the thought of eating it.
