There is a noticeboard up outside the Great Hall and one by one, images are appearing pinned to the corkboard, with students tacking up thoughts on the images on index cards. Nobody can ever catch anyone posting an image, only the comments, and there is no way to use magic or science to know who posted what.

( OOC: what is this thing and what are the rules? )

Maybe I'd be more thrilled if I thought you were trying the best for the sake of actually doing the best job you can, and not because you want my approval.

Oh, geez, I hate to agree with ^^^ her, but she is, for once, somewhat right.

You know what I care about? I care about you being a good doctor. That's it. You're right, I don't care about whatever whiny little problems you have in the interim between "crap" and "good."

I care about that too! But still, you had the Chief of Medicine as your Mentor when you were an Intern, and he was supportive! I'd be happy with even a pat on the back once in a while

I'm not that guy. You knew that when you signed on with me. What I want is for you to be the best, and I don't mean 'better than me' or 'better than Barbie' or 'the next Chief of Medicine.' I want you to be your best. And you're not.

He's right, you know. A bit of encouragement sometimes makes the difference between giving up and having that little extra push to be better.
