Elwood Blues - The Blues Brothers

A man in his mid-twenties enters the hall, briefcase in hand, confused expression somewhat masked by a pair of sunglasses. Where the hell did the rest of the band go? He'll have to think about this. He's glad, at least, that he's got his briefcase and harmonica, and that there doesn't appear to be a force of cops waiting for him

"Oi, you're a musician? What do yo play?"

"Blues harmonica. I sing backup, too."

"Ah. Myself, I play the guitar. I think that it's about time that more musicians came to Hogwarts."

"I know some good guys who play guitar," he nods. "Never could pick it up, myself, but... Hogwarts?"

"This place is Hogwarts. A school for magic, that for some reason or other doesn't have as many musicians as it should."

[ricochet_blues]

That makes two who've said it. "It really is, then?" He considers this, still not sure whether he believes it. Oh well. "Well, hey, maybe you'll find some more? They've got to be around, somewhere." He finds the thought of a place barren of musicians difficult to comprehend.

"Yeah, maybe they're hiding. Or maybe they just haven't had any reason to play. Maybe a concert or something would get the music flowing in this place."

"Hey, yeah. I mean, if it turns out that I'm gonna be around, I'll go for it. Just doesn't seem right otherwise."

Franky laughed and patted Elwood on the back. "You're a good guy. Name's Franky."

Somewhat shocked by the outburst, he isn't overly concerned. Musicians are, so far as Elwood has been able to tell, a varied sort, and many tend toward the boisterous side. "Franky? Nice to make your acquaintance, as well."

"So, you have any idea where you wanna be sorted, or should I just go with my gut on this one?"

[ricochet_blues]

He shrugs. "I'm not sure. Haven't been around long enough but, hey, it's good of you to ask."

[battlefranky36]

"I have this feeling that you'd be good in Hufflepuff. That's the place for useful and loyal people. I'm actually a member of it myself. What do you think?"

[ricochet_blues]

"Like to think I'm both of those, and I guess maybe I am."

"Well, then I guess Hufflepuff is for you, then."

"Thanks, then. Guess I'll likely be seeing you around."
