A middle-aged queen with tiger stripes and leopard spots enters the Sorting Hall. She looks surprised, but quickly settles down, and submits her (very neat) application.

( Yet another talking cat. Except this one's not as randy. )

!!!!!!!!!!!

Upon reading the application, Skimbleshanks the newly-transformed kitten of the Rail Way Station looked around frantically. When he finally spotted Jennyanydots in the crowd, he ran for her and would have probably pounced if he didn't remember at the last second that he was occupying an orange kitten's body.

"MEW!!!" Skimbleshanks pleaded, pawing at his mate's tail. "Mew, mew, mew!"

Jenny growls and is about to give the kitten a piece of her mind when she looks, really looks, at the cat.

'Skimbleshanks?!'

Skimbleshanks could just lick her all over for being such a bright queen. Instead, the kitten just nodded enthusiastically and ran around in circles in excitement.

"Mwawr!"

'Oh, dear Bast,' she groans. 'Are you a kitten forever?'

She hopes not. Let's not go there.

He stopped running and stood there for a moment in thought. He wasn't exactly sure. It would be quite troublesome to grow up all over again. Perhaps if Jennyanydots was a kitten, it would make things easier for him and they could relive their young cats days again! He'd have to show her to the cookies and then they could roll around in yarn, but what if someone wanted to own them? Thank the Everlasting Cat, the humans at the Station never neutered him.

And just by thinking at such a fast pace...Skimbleshanks was very confused.

Not wishing to worry Jennyanydots, he shook his head as if to say 'no' then immediately placed his vote afterwards.

If Jenny heard that, well, first she'd blanch and then she'd be there like a shot. As long as they could actually talk.

'Thank you,' she says, confused. 'We are going to have words, you do realise this, when you can talk again...'

Skimbleshanks understood and nuzzled Jennyanydots as if she were his mother instead of a mate.
