Eclipse made his way into the Sorting Room, a dragon-like being flanking him. One might mistakenly assume the man to be Japanese based on his appearance - black hair, dark eyes, and attire that consisted of what looked like a plain rust-coloured kimono over a black linen kosode. As Anya's status was indeterminable, he nodded in lieu of bowing to acknowledge her. One only bowed to higher-ranked demons. "I am Eclipse. My world isn't so different from this one - castles, magic, an overabundance of humans..."

Hmmm, swords or jewels? No contest. "I like rings with precious stones. Do you have any like that?"

"Many. I'll return in a moment," he said, already visualising one of the treasury rooms in Raenef Castle. He murmured the needed word, and disappeared from view. A couple minutes later he returned in the same fashion, with several rings matching Anya's request strung together on a silver chain, which he held out for her to take. "Do you accept this offering?"

Anya leaned in a bit closer and lowered her voice, as if she was confiding secret information, but didn't really make any serious attempt not to be overheard. "To tell you the truth, I'm not sure how much it matters. Everyone seems to wander pretty freely in and out of the Houses. I think it just determines where you reside while you're here."
