I wanted to let you know that due to massive stupidity on the part of the editorial staff of the Journal of Magical Creatures, I will be occupied in the next few weeks with revising my grindylow research paper which apparently did not meet their excruciatingly high academic standards. In other words, I'll be spending most of my waking hours working and won't be around much. However, should any emergency arise (such as an attack by You-Know-Who or an alien liquor which desperately needs sampling), you can find me in the library or in my office. I'll also be attending Sortings on a sporadic basis.
Following completion of the paper - whenever that may be - I may be going down to London to see Tonks, but I'm not sure if I have the time or money for such an endeavor and I'm afraid she might have left me anyway. If I decide to do so, I'll let you know.
Have a good rest of the summer. Don't pine for me too much.
- Remus
P.S. I must warn you that attempts to distract me from my studies will be met with, as Sir Isaac Newton says, equal and opposite force. I may be an old man, but I still know how to make those extra-sticky spitballs we used to throw at the Slytherins in Potions class.
