Something in him knew. Some terrible instinct says that this is his fault, because he pushed. And he's SURE it was that stupid -doll-, that horrible leering THING. He can practically SEE it smirking at him. It MADE her leave, didn't it?
What do I DO? Do I go after her?
Devi's note still crumpled in his hand, he hurries to the popcorn room, hoping not to find... hoping that she just LEFT, because then he could GO AFTER HER.
But it's there. SHE's there. He stares at the plaque on the wall with Devi's name on it for a long, long time. Touches the plaque, mouth shaking as he tries to hold it together.
... but... I -loved- you!... Dammit, Nny loved you! didn't... didn't that MEAN anything? wasn't it enough?
Maybe it wasn't.
He eventually collects himself and returns to the suite, eyes red. He crashes into a chair, and curls up, Rigel pushing anxiously at his leg.
