Semi-open RP down by the lake.Lily stood in a small clearing by the lake and looked at her handiwork. Trees were strung with fairy lights, there was a large, enchanted bonfire complete with salamanders (though, to be honest, the salamanders hadn't been intentional), and there were several tables and chairs about the area, each with it's own

"Hey everyone!" One hand resting on Mokuba's shoulder lightly, Ryuuji entered the clearing, a rectangular package tucked under one arm. Eyes bright with anticipation, he scanned the party for any signs of the birthday boy, smiling at anyone who caught his eye.

He'd invited Seto to come as well, of course, but Seto hadn't wanted to and Ryuuji knew better than to argue every little thing with Seto. If he did that, it just meant that Seto wouldn't listen to him when it was important.

So instead, he and Mokuba were there. Double trouble, packaged in golden skin, dark hair, and impish grins.

Harry waves from where he's talking to Ron, smiling.

Ryuuji waves back brightly, with an easy grin, but doesn't make any move to butt in on Ron's conversation with Harry. He and Mokie can wait until Harry's done!

Lily spotted Ryuuji and Mokuba, vaguely recognizing them from Anthony's Herbology grading class. She wandered over and grinned at them both. "Hullo, I'm Lily. I don't think we've met."

"Hey Lily." Ryuuji smiled at her and held out a hand, Western-style, for her to shake. "I'm Ryuuji Otogi, Slytherin Prefect, and this is Mokuba Kaiba, my little brother."

Wow. It felt so great to be able to call him that.

Ryuuji couldn't help but grin at the way the words felt on his tongue, eyes brightening with happiness. He was really never going to get sick of saying he had family.

She shook his hand with a smile. "Thank you both so much for coming. I'm sure Harry will be chuffed to see you."

Notcing Ryuuji's obvious joy as he introduced his brother Lily felt an instant sense of camaraderie. Well did she know the absolute happiness of being around and having family. "And Mokuba, I'm afraid your reputation proceeds you. Adam was telling me earlier about fried ice cream." Her eyes sparkled, "Which sounds absolutely marvelous, I might add. I may have to bother you to show me how sometime."

"Thank you, Mokuba," Lily grinned at him, reaching down to give his arm a little squeeze. "That'd be brilliant. Perhaps we could get together and you could show me how?" She rather liked Mokuba. He seemed a sweet sprog.

Looking up at Ryuuji, she said, "And I've heard of you, too, I think. Are you the one with a purple lamb for a pet? Violet, yeah?"

"Yeah, Violet! Though God's really my first pet -- she's a kitten that Death gave me, absolutely adorable. Violet, Adam made for me and then was going to unmake but I asked to keep her instead." Ryuuji explained, mildly amused that he was renowned for his pets of all things. Oh well. There were worse things to be known for!

"Let's hope he likes his gift as well." Ryuuji returned, smiling at her brightly and shifting the package under his arm slightly. Cool. Another person with green eyes!

Pleased at the way she was talking to Mokuba, Ryuuji squeezed his shoulder lightly, still keeping his hand proudly on his little brother's. Hah! Mokie was making a name for himself too.

"I'm sure he'll think it's brilliant," she grinned at Ryuuji. "And you have a kitten as well?" Laughing, she said, "A mate and myself both have menageries of odd pets. Must be the place for it, yeah?"

Looking at both of them she blushed a bit. "And here I am, chatting on, and you're both just got here. Can I get you anything to drink? Or eat - Ginny's made quite a spread. And Harry's about here somewhere - you can give him his gift now or just set it on the table for later."

"Yeah, God's my kitten. What pets do you and your friend have?" Ryuuji asked curiously, returning her grin easily.

The blush made him arch an eyebrow, then glance over at the feast, "Looks smashing but really, talking to the hostess is way more of a treat." He ruffled Mokie's hair again, too proud of his little brother to stop himself from constantly checking that he was real, and then lit up at the sight of Harry approaching, "And hey, looks like Harry's coming over -- excuse me for a second while I give him his gift, please."

Harry wanders over to Ryuuji.

"Hey, I haven't seen you in ages!"

"Yeah, I know! Pretty bad, especially since I'm the Prefect for your current House and us green-eyed boys really ought to stick together." Ryuuji holds out the present with an amused look, "Anyway, Happy Birthday, Harry. Hope you like your gift."

Since offworld electronics seemed to work in Hogwarts whereas this-world electronics didn't, Ryuuji had picked up a laptop for Harry, light-weight and streamlined, lime green. Hopefully it would be a decent gift.

"Oh, well. We've all kinda gone to ground with Voldemort coming back anyway..." Harry shakes his head and looks up, more cheerfully.

"Aw, you didn't have to give me anything!" He tears open the paper and just looks in astonishment. "Oh my god. This is amazing!"

Ryuuji still failed to see Voldemort as a threat, but that could at least be partially blamed on his own world's viciousness. Besides, Suneku had been cool, even if this one wasn't.

Ignoring that in favor of Harry's reaction, Ryuuji grinned once the other boy had opened the gift, glad to see it was well-received. Easily, he explained, "I heard you're from a Muggle family, so I thought that you might be missing electronic stuff. And since offworld electronic things work here, I picked up that laptop back in my world, so you can use it here."

Eyes bright, he shrugged a little awkwardly and grinned again, "Glad you like it."
