Semi-open RP down by the lake.Lily stood in a small clearing by the lake and looked at her handiwork. Adam walked down to the lake smiling happily at all the decorations. He carried a small, nicely-wrapped package the size of a ring box in one hand.

"Hullo," he said to the group at large.

Lily beamed at Adam and gave him a hug in greeting. "How've you been, mate? Glad you could come. Help yourself to food, drink, whatever you like."

Adam hugged her back, beaming. "I'm good. And you? Oh, and where can I put Harry's present?" He held up the little box for her to see.

"I'm brilliant, thank you," she grinned. "And there's a table for the presents over here." She started to walk towards the table Ginny had set aside. "Thank you for thinking to bring him a gift, though it really wasn't necessary. He'll just be chuffed to have you here."

Following her to the table, he set down the tiny gift and watched it get dwarfed by the other presents. That made him smile. Of course, most things did.

"Oh, I can't go to a birthday party and not bring a gift. That's part of the essence. You and Ginny put a lot of work into gettin' this all right. It' looks amazin'."

"Thank you," she smiled. "Though most of it was Ginny's work, to be honest. Not that she'll admit it. I don't know much about Harry's tastes as of yet. Last I knew he preferred soggy Wheatabix, so..." she trailed off with a laugh. "I just hope he enjoys it. It's his first birthday with everyone, so I wanted it to be nice."

She reached into her pocket and pulled out the gift she'd made Harry. It, too, was in a tiny box and tied with a simple green ribbon. She set it down on the table and turned back to Adam. "Would you like something to eat? Or drink? I think Ginny even arraigned for some Greek foods - she and Harry just returned from Holiday there."

Adam laughed at the comment about soggy Wheatabix. "He'd hafta be crazy not to like it," he said sincerely, "and he's not. It's real nice."

Looking thoughtful, he said, "Greek foods? That sounds interestin'. I haven't tried much stuff from other places yet. Do you know if any of it's vegetarian?"
