Greeting anyone he meets on the way easily, he works his way through the throng to reach the hostess of the night. Once there, he gives a quick polite bow, then holds an odd little flower - it looks like a lily but is made of parchment, with a light-hearted love sonnet penned inside it. With a grin, he explains, "For you, fairest. I thought that a paper flower would be a little more appropriate for you than a real one. Real ones wilt even while words last."

Hi, Ryuuji! Thank you for coming!
*Takes the flower and opens it, and reads the sonnet, blushing furiously* Um, wow, thank you! It's ... it's lovely. I ... um, would you like something to drink?
Reply
*takes her arm as if it's second nature, glancing around and asking her* Do you want to head to the bar to get a drink, or just drift around and play the role of gracious hostess? I'm sure everyone must be dying to congratulate their Prefect on her organizing skills.
Reply
*lets him take her arm, enjoying being escorted by such a charming young man* Let's go by the bar, first. Looks like people are just starting to trickle in.
*walks with him to the bar*
You already know Walden, right?
Reply
*offers Walden a warm grin, still having Sara's arm tucked over his own*
Nice to see you again- congratulations on making it into Ravenclaw!
Reply
I remember you, yeah. Thanks. *hands him a shot of Vodka* To be honest, I'm pretty surprised I made it in. But I shouldn't have worried. Sara took care of it. *smiles at her*
Reply
Hey, you're welcome. You know how hard it is to turn down anything Sara's asking for. *winks at her* Especially when she's asking nicely.
*tilts head at Walden* How do you like in Ravenclaw so far?
Reply
We were lucky to get you, Walden. *smiles brightly at him* It was worth every bit of persuading. *winks*
*Takes another shot herself*

We'll also start quidditch practice in a few days, and that should be fun. I think Johnny's getting the hang of flying. I'm still not to fast, though. Definitely need the practice.
Reply
*agrees readily, twirling Sara for a second the way they did on stage, adds lightly* You're as beautiful as you're intelligent.
*looks back to Walden* You know, I still haven't figured out what to do with Suneku's boxers. Any ideas?
Reply
*twirls and laughs* That was fun! And you're as charming as you are handsome!
Reply
*not caring for the competition he sees in Ryuuji, but is willing to fight*
You know, Sara, I could always teach you a thing or two. About flying, that is. *downs another shot, feeling quite brave if a bit buzzed, reaches over and brushes a lock of hair behing Sara's ear* I was, after all, Quidditch captain five years in a row. *lying, only made captain in his sixth year*
Reply
Oh really? *notes pause, with interest* I do need flying lessons. *smiles and blushes when he touches her hair* We don't really have a quidditch captain, yet. I've been handling most of it, because I'm prefect, but if you're interested?
*Fills Walden's glass, and her own, but notices Ryuuji's is still full and gives him a questioning look*
Reply
Really? Wow, that's awesome. Especially since Sara's the Quidditch Captain right now and I'm the Slytherin Captain at the moment.
*laughs lightly, gives Sara a wry smirk* Aren't you the lucky one, to have such an expert on the team. *mock pouts, looks thoughtful* ...How goes that song go again?
*twirls her once more, takes her hand dramatically and sings just a stanza from the song*
Luck be a lady with me
A lady never leaves her escort
It isn't fair, it isn't nice
A lady doesn't wander all over the room
And blow on some other guys dice
Lets keep this party polite
Never get out of my sight
Stick with me baby, I'm the guy that you came in with
Luck be lady tonight
*lets go of her after spinning her out dramatically, then bows to her and laughs* Frank Sinatra, I think.
Reply
I think so, yes, Guys and Dolls. Good choice.
*weaves a little and takes another drink from one of the House Elves*
Ravenclaw needs luck - or else I'll have a snake on my cheek for a week.
