Not So Quiet In The Library

Jun 29, 2006 02:12

The library wasn't as quiet as it could have been. There was the undercurrent thumping of drums coming from within the librarian's office. And with it, male voices chanting in latin, and with that the cat wail sounds of some eye-liner wearing lead singer that Blair Sandburg, current librarian at Hogwarts, had never heard of, but which he was enjoying immensely. Wizarding music had become part of his fusion listening styles, bringing ancient beats face to face with modern music and bopping in his chair when he got the perfect mesh.

He was currently trying to catalogue and amazing amount of sounds for the library and wondering why no one had ever thought to do it before. Quill in his mouth, a special no-drip, no stain that he'd had to accquire after a first embarrassing incident with blue mouth, hair loose, robes open showing faded jeans and a button up, Blair enjoyed himself and his work and the occasional sip of good beer, because being staff in this place was just so damn cool.

There was a decanter of sherry nearby, just in case Crowley decided to stop in again, they'd had one quiet meet since their lunch. But there was also juice on that tray and sandwiches. Most of the students here were adults and none were starving the way college students back home tended to be, but Blair was prepared anyway out of habit. Someone could conceivably want help with something, or the chance to sneak a sandwich. The beats picked up on all three playing recordings and Blair closed his eyes with a smile.
