Shmee was Not Happy about moving into the STFU suite (or as he had dubbed it, Psycho Central). Not one little bit. Squee could feel the intense disapproval and annoyance coming off the bear in waves, and even though Shmee was zipped into his backpack and staring at the opposite wall, it still felt like the stuffed toy was glaring at him.

"If it's too scary, we can always move back." Squee whispered over his shoulder. No response.

Squee gulped, turned back, nervously knocked on the door and peeked inside, ready to hit the floor in case a knife or a manriki came flying out of the room.

((Er... since I've been gone for five days, and this thread started on Saturday, I'm just kinna pretending that Squee's still got a day or two left on his aging potion ^^;))

Gogo squealed delightedly when she noticed Squee's head poking into the room. "Squee-kun! Oh, good, we're all here now!" She rushed over and took his hand as if to lead him inside. "Nny-chii, Dib-chu and Devi-san are already here!"

"Well, we invited Ron-kun too, but I don't think he'll move in. And all our devils too, of course." Right on cue, little Kuro-pip skipped over to the newcomer, snuffling at Squee's legs curiously.

Squee crouched down and eyed Kuro-pip warily. He seemed pretty cute - adorable, even - but you never knew... *So help me, if one of those little furballs even thinks about using me as a chew toy...* Shmee grumbled from the backpack.

"... Does he bite?"

"Not really. His sister, Fifi, sometimes does, but never hard enough to draw blood. She's pretty bossy... but she must be in one of the other rooms with Rry or Rigel. Kuro-pip's more placid." She crouched next to Squee and started scritching behind Kuro-pip's ears.

Kuro-pip ignored her, putting one paw on Squee's leg and peering up at him, still snuffling.

"So they're kinda like puppies?" Squee reached down and carefully let Kuro-pip snuffle at his fingers, then joined in on the scritching. He really was cute... "Who owns Rigel and Fifi?"

"Well, they're babies, so I think they're supposed to be called Devenesian devil pups." She watched as the little devil sniffed at the new fingers, then gave them a cursory lick. "Rigel's Dib-chu's, and Fifi belongs to Prima-rin. Do you know Prima? She's lovely!"

"It's Squee-kun!" said Gogo, laughing. "I thought you were friends? Remember, we helped him at Cox-san's sorting!"

Kuro-pip ran over to the more familiar Nny, yapping happily. "Marsupials?" Gogo repeated, pronouncing the word carefully. "I hadn't heard that word before. What does it mean?"

Squee stared back at Johnny, eyes wide. From his vantage point on the floor, Johnny looked just as tall and imposing as he'd been when Squee was seven.

"I. Uhm..." Shmee? What do I do? He sounds mad... Cold silence on Shmee's end. Squee gulped nervously. "I wanted to see what it was like?" he finally squeaked.

"It was mostly just confusing, though." he added hurriedly. "And... and it wears off in a day or twO-!!" His hand slapped over his mouth in shock. This was not a good time for his voice to start cracking again...

"Y-you mean pick out what years to...?" Squee trailed off into nervous silence and gulped again. He really wanted to reach into his backpack and take out Shmee, but he felt like his limbs were frozen to the spot.
