Oz wanders in, floating several cages, all large enough to fit a big dog, with his wand.

"Ceiling Girl again?" He catches sight of the tribbles. "Oh." The hair on the back of his neck stick up. William Shatner could not be far behind...

"Great!" Chiana runs over with her latest armful and unceremonially dumps them inside. She gives the new guy a satisfied smile and nods to herself. "Okay. This is much better. They keep moving around, and I don't know how since I don't see any legs."

"They're resourceful like that." Oz doesn't comment on Chiana's ungentle dumping. They were tribbles, the werewolf doubted that a thirty foot drop could stun them. He likes bunnies better.

He takes a burlap sack from around his neck and prepares to collect them.

"Are these thingys edible? Hm. Even if they aren't, you could probably make a fortune toasting them and calling them a delicacy. There has to be meat somewhere underneath the fluff, right?" She turns to the guy with the cages. "Hey. Girl over there--" she motions towards Kaylee--"said she had one of these as a pet. Think they make good pets?"

"Yeah, I think they're edible. But I'm pretty sure following through with that theory would earn someone a failing grade. They're for a class project." He's pleasant but keeps working. When Kaylee is mentioned he looks up to give her a slight wave.

"Well, I'm not planning anything. But just theoretically, y'know? Like, what if we ran out of food? We wouldn't have to resort to cannibalism right away. I think survival trumps grades." She squeezes one experimentally, lightly. It makes a chirping noise, and she nods as she feels something not-fluffy inside the fluff. "Not that I expect it to happen."

"But it's good to be prepared."

"Exactly." She checks surreptitiously to make sure the one she stuffed in her pocket is still there. Despite it giving birth in her clothing, she's taken a shine to the little fuzzball.

Oz does not notice this, or if he does he doesn't comment. He's concentrating in getting the tribbles in the cages before he starts... talkinglike... this...!

Where was a Klingon when you need one?
