Dr. Grant followed Elizabeth's owl until he came to a sea of tribbles in the corridor and several students trying to contain them. He muttered something that sounded a bit like "for duck's steak" under his breath before pulling out his wand.
"It's called a tribble. It's not going to hurt you." He flicked his wand and said a spell that plucked the tribble from her leg and set it on the floor. "Dammit, I said not to overfeed them," he said to no one in particular. He looked at Lizzy. "Do you have a wand?"
She took out her wand, 'Um... yeah. I have one. I just haven't used it that much. And they were all multiplying when I came along. It was utterly insane.'
"Okay, here's what you do." He showed her a simple spell that pushed the tribbles back a few feet. "That will keep them off you. Can you help me contain them, or would you rather leave?" He quickly scribbled out an owl for Oz and gave it to his house elf.
'Well something just bit me!' She looked around trying to find a possible explanation then back at Dr. Grant. 'Was it you?' she said, her eyes narrowing.
"Trust me, if I had bitten you you'd be feeling a hell of a lot worse," he said, thinking of the upcoming full moon. "Are you sure you're all right? Maybe you should go lie down."
"What happened here?"
