Gryffindor Common Room; Open to all

May 28, 2006 21:19

Jack is in a disturbingly happy mood, he's also reading a book. This is worrying. He's looking things up, cross referencing. Trying to work things out. No-one is safe, not that they were before from him. He's starting off small, by small that means he's just sticking to the common room. Trying to find things that shouldn't be there. In theory if he ( Read more... )

((This should be fun. Just so you know, a Sphinxian treecat like Nimitz is a telepathic(though he can't read thoughts), empathic, six-limbed felinoid about the size of a bobcat. And he absolutely loves making mischief.))

Nimitz wandered into the Gryffindor common room, worn out (and more than a little bruised) from the game of Calvinball. He had it in mind to find Honor's bedroom, curl up, and turn in for the night.

As soon as he entered, though, the most interesting mind glow made his ears prick right up. He thought it was a bit like his human's mother--brightly curious, cheerful, and exceedingly mischievous.

Actually, that rather described Nimitz to a T. Perhaps this would be another friend?

The human seemed engrossed in examining the stones beside the fireplace. Wondering what was so interesting, Nimitz quietly stalked closer on all six limbs until the human was only a whisker's length away.

Jack turns to see the creature knowing he was being watched.

"Hi." He says, uncertain if he would get a response, but still he'd seen to much not to say hi.

"Hello," says Nimitz politely. "One might wonder just what it is you're doing."

"Me?" He doesn't look at all phased by this. "Nothing, just curious about if a rumor I heard was true." He shrugs. "It's not. Oh well."

So, obviously, because it was just his luck, the Doctor has to stride into this mess. He peers about the common room when he sees Jack acting very peculiar before deciding to lean himself against the wall by the staircase, watching the very intriuging cat-creature slink up to him. A little observation wouldn't hurt before actually outright asking him what he's doing. It isn't good--good in the sense of staying out of trouble, at the very least. Because it's Jack, and he's working on something, and he's grinning like mad.

No, nothing good, but something interesting, to say the least.

"You just going to stare?" Jack is more than aware of the Doctor watching. "Or do I get any help?"

"I figured I'd just stare a while, pretty much," replies the Doctor smartly. "At least until I figure out what you're trying to accomplish. Which is...what, exactly? Planning some redecoration?"

Jack decides it would be good to reply to that comment by first turning his back to the Doctor then making a point to duck down to check the lower section of the wall. Before he stands up and walks over to the Doctor so he can talk quietly. "I'm looking for hidden passages."

An excited shout resonates through one of the corridors of Hogwarts, suspiciously in the vicinity of where Josie is now seen, running with luggage magically in tow, towards a painting of a very plump lady in a marvelously pink dress ( ... )

"I see we meet again," says Aayla as she walks up the hallway. "No one told me the password either." She surveys the painting and wall, but sees no sign of a locking mechanism. Or a door, for that matter.

"How is it possible that no one has walked by yet?!" Josie sighs loudly, "It's like this place is deserted or something.

She reaches over into a pile of her belongings and pulls out a purse. Digging around inside, she produces a few shiny crinkled bags of food. Looking over at Aayla, she asks, "Want a candy bar or some teddy grahams?"

"Sure." She accepts the teddy grahams from Josie and looks at them curiously before trying one. Her eyes widen. "These are good!"

She peers over at the wall and portrait again. "I don't suppose those in charge would appreciate it if I simply sliced us a door."
