OOC Announcements
A few brief, but very important, announcements:
1. Voting: Please remember to vote on applications, and please do not bury your votes in RP threads. Most of you are great about putting votes and vote changes in the subject line, but we all need to be more careful!
2. Popcorned Characters: Please remember to comment to the Popcorned Characters Post if you are popcorning one or more of your characters. Ryuuji-mun, who is the mod who handles updates for popcorned characters, has limited computer access at the moment, and doesn't have time to search the comm for posts regarding popcorning.
3. Prefects!: Speaking of popcorned characters, we appear to be short a few Prefects. Professor Crowley has already posted a notice for the Slytherins, and Slytherins wishing to run for the open Prefect position in that House may comment to that post. I believe that Lady Door has been popcorned (?), and that Hufflepuff is short a Prefect. I also have heard nothing from Kenpi in quite a while, despite pinging him on his Prefect post, so Gryffindor needs a new Prefect, as well. If you have a Gryffindor or Hufflepuff character who would like to run for Prefect, please comment to this post and let us know.
Those wishing to run for Prefect, please note that we request that Prefects be fairly active in the comm, be willing to step into problem situations, give and take points and help their fellow students in general. We also encourage Prefects to plan and hold activities for their Houses, and, if they want, inter-House activities. Please do not put your character up for Prefect unless you plan for them to be active. We also request that you not put a character up for Prefect if you already have a Prefect character, or if you already have more than one Professor character. Thank you!
4. Staff Positions: As our Charms Professor has recently been popcorned, and we have heard nothing from our Muggle Studies Professor in many months, those positions are available. Anyone wishing to take either of them should post their Curriculum Vitae for the Sorting Hat to owl to the Board of Governors.

IRC And finally, just a little reminder that we have an IRC channel, and that we have an awful lot of fun in the IRC channel, including plotting, RPs, general silliness, and some really fun MSTing. We would love to have you join us! If you're new to IRC and need help getting there, please leave a comment and we'll help you out!
