The following parchment appears posted in the Hufflepuff common room, with the following neatly written in flowing handwriting:Are you upset by disparaging remarks made about our fine house of Hufflepuff, referring to it as "where we put all the lunatics"? Do you think your special and unique talents are going to waste? Do you think Hufflepuff ( Read more... )

Gin, still roommate-less, scavenged some extra chairs for his room and waited, smiling happily, for people to arrive.

((May as well just start right in on the meet and greet, no?))

Sadako hadn't been networking enough lately. True, focusing all her efforts on Bothari had gotten results, but it would be nice to have other allies.

Of course, the fact that Bothari was following her, grim and silent as usual, as she entered the room meant that she'd have to introduce herself as 'Elena', but surely she could use that to her advantage as well.

Cheerful and smiling as always, Gin was happy to greet the first arrivals. He didn't spend enough time in the common area to really know too many other Hufflepuffs by name yet, but he vaguely recognized a few people on sight. "Oh, hello! You're a little early, it seems, but I'm sure more people will be here shortly. I'm Ichimaru Gin. And you two are?"

"Sgt. Bothari. And my wife Elena." Bothari is as talkative as ever. Unceremoniously he hands Gin a small tub of gummi worms.

Smiling from behind her curtain of hair, Sadako held out a platter of roast chicken to Gin. "Where should I put this?"

"Oh, just over there on the dresser should be fine," Gin smiled, pointing at the area beside the little cage he had holding his tribble from the Care of Magical Creatures class.

"My, aren't you interesting, Miss... Elena? And what keeps you in this world?" Gin knows, from close personal experience, a malicious spirit when he sees one (even though there are a few small differences from what he's used to).

"Oh, I couldn't go away and leave my husband," Sadako said in a practiced demure tone, setting down the chicken. "It makes me so unhappy to be parted from him." She held out a hand, hoping Gin would take the prompt; it was far easier to send a psychic impression with physical contact.
