Gin waited outside the Great Hall, a little pensive behind his usual smile. Byakuya seemed to be having some very strange mood swings lately, and he rather hoped that Byakuya was still on the 'happy' side. It would be nice, anyway. It might be worth investigating later, what sort of curious magic had caused Byakuya's sudden change of character

From the smile, Byakuya was definitely still in his no-doubt magically-induced state of happiness. Gin hoped it stayed that way for a while, however it had happened to come about.
"You know, curiously enough, I wondered if you might be missing something..."

Since Byakuya was in such a good mood after all, Gin took this opportunity to be a little playful. "I think it should be fairly obvious, but if you can't guess, I may have to keep it~."

"Not that you'll really need them anytime soon," he smiled, moving up so that the two shinigami were only a few inches apart.

He whispered conspiratorially, "I don't actually care for underwear much." And looked pleased with himself.

They were just outside of the Great Hall, after all. It wouldn't do to pin Byakuya against the wall and have his way with him again (unhindered by troublesome undergarments).

Had he meant to say that? Well, it didn't matter very much. He smiled, no longer even embarrassed. It was difficult to feel anything but elation and excessive cheerfulness, regardless of what they discussed.

"And you're very unusually cheerful today. I take it you enjoyed yourself?"

Out of the blue, he stated, "I like you. I kind of like everyone today. I feel funny." He was beaming, not realising he was beginning to sound incoherent.
"Of course I enjoyed myself." He hoped he had, anyway. He was pretty sure he had. Did it matter even if he hadn't? He felt so happy. "Did you? I wonder if you're as bruised as I am."

"Oh, I did enjoy myself terribly," Gin smiled, silently in agreement with Byakuya's previous statement that bodies were, indeed, funny things. "A little bruised in the most interesting places," he confided, "But not quite as badly off as you seemed to be this morning. My apologies~."

"I'd like to bruise you... more," he happily informed Gin, his tone not threatening in the least. He was noticeably swaying, not drunkenly, but with a sort of pent-up, restless energy. Or he needed to relieve himself. Standing together as they were, it took only minimal effort to close the distance between them, and the fingertips of his right hand brushed Gin's neck a moment before his breath did, the barest touch of his lips against Gin's skin. "And I could."
He was already gone and standing a little farther away nearly before the sensation could register, and looking as if he hadn't moved. He smiled charmingly, and couldn't help but admit, "Oh, that was fun."

Gin briefly considered the situation. And then just as instantaneously, he was standing behind Byakuya, using one of the other shinigami's favored techniques. He leaned over to speak very softly in Byakuya's ear. "You're welcome to try. If you won't regret that later, too~."
And then, mirroring Byakuya's actions, he was back a couple paces away again, although his smile was not quite so charming. "We could be having much more fun right now, you know."

"But I sa~aw you move. You're slow, Gin." He was lying, but didn't let on. "What's more fun than this?" Byakuya appeared behind Gin this time, got him in a headlock and messed up his hair, ever so amused by everything. And he didn't let go.

Gin simply backed up, fast, slamming Byakuya between his back and one of the stone walls of the corridor. Not only was there the chance Byakuya might let go, there was also a good chance he'd figure out if Byakuya was having more 'fun' than he was letting on.
