"Kira!" Ryuuji practically threw himself at the other boy in a tight hug, and then drew back to pile boxes of ice-cream into his arms. "Here! Peppermint ice-cream, for you. I meant to save them for the movie marathon, but I decided that it would be better to give them to you now. And you know what? I think we should hire a theatre and watch the movies there. That would be cooler. And more special. And maybe I could take you out for dinner beforehand?"
He cocked his head to a side, eyes shining brightly, and waited impatiently for Kira's response. He'd just been in the dungeons, doing nothing in particular except experimenting with reverse-engineering Alfred's cream and then suddenly, it had dawned on him that a solution to all his problems would be to fall for Kira. Because that would make life perfect. Somehow.

"You already told me that." Ryuuji gave Kira a bright, fearless smile, and flipped his hair, utterly unafraid of any consequences. "Didn't scare me then, and it isn't scaring me now."
Canting his head to a side, he studied Kira for a second or two. Kira was really gorgeous, Ryuuji had already known that, but he hadn't realized exactly how amazing Kira was. All that angst and tragedy underneath that laidback exterior, and part of a doomed lovestory, and gods, Ryuuji just wanted to hug him and kiss it all better.
Because he was in love with Kira. Somehow.
Not questioning it, Ryuuji added with a light smirk, "Only thing I'm scared of is that you're going to break my heart. And I can deal with that. I'm good at the whole unrequited love thing. And you can use me in the meantime to get rid of the whole sexual frustration thing - I was the one who posted the secret about you, incidentally - and that'll be enough for me because it means I'm helping you, right?"

The mention of Eros had a flicker of confusion darkening Ryuuji's eyes for a moment; Eros made him think of red hair (EW!) and freckles (EW!) and someone who'd been sweet-talked into kissing him within five minutes of meeting him (YAY!). What did any of that have to do with Kira? Kira was just awesome; Ryuuji practically hero-worshipped him.
Eyes wide and innocent, Ryuuji pouted slightly, "I know you love her. It's okay. I know you'll never love me either, but that's okay too. Because you're you, Kira. How could I ever do anything except love you? That would be impossible. The only reason I exist is so that I can love you, and I'm sorry it took me so long to stop fighting fate and give in to this
