Crowley grinned wickedly as he set up the booth in the Great Hall. It looked something like this but the sign read:

KISS RYUUJI - ONE GALLEON
(no tongues)

Crowley watched Seto arrive, get angry, and leave. Oh well, the kid would understand when this was all over. He hoped.

"Seto!" Ryuuji called out as he ran into Seto at a different corridor, having not actually seen the kissing booth yet. In Kira's body still, having found his room empty when he'd got there and still under the assumption that it was Mai in his body, Ryuuji had to resist the temptation to hug the other because surely Kira didn't greet Seto like that.

Skidding to a stop in front of the other boy, he gave him a quick smirk. Okay. Seto looked like himself. Ryuuji would just need to talk to him to make sure.

But first...

Glancing from side to side to make sure nobody would see, Ryuuji quickly leaned forwards, pressing a lightning fast kiss to Seto's lips. "Happy April Fool's Day."

...Ohfuck. Damnit. Ryuuji hadn't meant Seto to take this too seriously, but like hell was he going to reject Seto as Kira and make this somehow worse! Not when he was fairly sure that Seto had somehow already lost it.

Both hands coming up to rest on Seto's shoulders, more to steady him than anything else, Ryuuji returned the kiss, soft and gentle, then broke away eventually without having made any attempt to deepen it or turn it passionate.

"Seto, wait." His tone was a little strained, and Ryuuji licked over his lips and tilted his head to a side without thinking about what a giveaway gesture that was, "I'm not Kira. It's me, Ryuuji - I'm just in Kira's body. I don't know how it happened, but we've been switched."

"There!" Ryuuji pointed at Kira-in-Mai, relieved, and explained to Seto, "That's Kira. And he's in Mai, and that means Mai's probably in me but I haven't been able to find her yet to confirm that, and Lupin is in Crowley and some other people are switched too, I think, but you're really Seto, right?"

Cue a blink.

"...Or, you know, you might not to be Seto. You could have been switched as well." Kira's eyes narrowed slightly, and Ryuuji crossed Kira's arms over his chest. "Right. Seto? Prove that you're yourself. Tell me something that nobody except the real Seto Kaiba would know."

Pause. "And even that's imperfect because if you're a telepath in Seto's body, then you might have just read his mind and found that out somehow. But I can't think of anything better because I don't want to use Legilimancy for this."

"That's because you're desperate." Ryuuji retorted to Kira, even as he tapped back to Seto, via Morse Code again, "Fine. Just maintain eye contact with me, okay?". He hadn't been taken back by their childish form of communication, and his response had been tapped out quickly and neatly, the way that he always did.

That said, he told Kira-as-Mai, "Give me a sec - Seto and I are going to mindlink to check this out."

Silently, in his head, he commanded as Sev had taught him, Legilimiens!, vivid green eyes still locked on the intense blue of Seto's. Carefully, knowing Seto couldn't read his mind in return, he projected, "Seto?"

Ryuuji broke contact with a blink, and swallowed. Okay. Definitely Seto.

Except...

Confused, he wasn't totally sure what was going on but asked Seto, "Seto - there was a lot of hate in your mind about a poster, or some booth, and Nightwing. What's that about?"

Genuinely confused, he tilted his head at Seto, and licked over his lips, a little dazed by all the thoughts that he had found in Seto's mind. He still had one hand curled over Seto's arm, and used that to tap out softly, "And I'm not going to throw you away. You're my kindred. That stays no matter what."

There was a pause, and then Ryuuji added, "And yes, Kira is very desperate. Poor guy. Think we should ask him to try a threesome with us once we're all back to normal?"
