The Anti-adventure club meeting.

Mar 31, 2006 12:37

Rincewind sits down in the Three broomsticks. He orders a pint. It wasn’t as successful as he hoped. But he still got two members! Maybe more will come, who knows. He thinks for a moment he should have put up a banner or something. Then decides that is a bad idea.

((This is a semi-open RP.))

*walks in the front entrance -- he wears a set of impressive gamekeeper robes and uses a cane*
*orders 'something mellow' from the bartender -- ends up with a butterbeer*
*looks around the bar, spots Rincewind*
*ambles over, sits down*

"You should have a banner or something."

"Yeah I was thinking of hanging a a banner. But the management would get mad. Nice robe and cane."

*Sips beer.*

"You know why I have this cane?"

*swigs butterbeer*

"An 'adventure'."

Oh, one of those. *shudders* How'd it happen?

I don't even know!  I'm just hangin' at Lupin's party the other night, and this 'adventure' comes along and I get a leg injury and *no* memory of what happened.

*laughs*
No more adventures for me, man.

*finishes off the butterbeer*
You know what I hate?  Monsters.

*Sips beer.* Yeah, I hate monsters too and demons and kids named Eric.

((tiny season 1 spoiler invisotexted))

*orders firewhiskey*

Yeah! ... and dudes named Ethan!

*receives & sips firewhiskey*

This is a good club.

I this club too *Orders a firewhiskey.* Everyone I met there always expected me to save something. Even if I just showed up in a place. And everyone would chase me. *Swallows some beer and a sips the newly arrive firewhisky.*

That should be a AA club rule:  *sips firewhiskey*  "No saving required.  Sure we might save somebody, but don't just expect saving."

Yeah, no saving required whatsoever. *Is now getting bit drunk.* And no chasing people unless you tell them why. *Finish off the pint.*

Two more hours passed like that, with neither of them being chased, attacked, or confronted by monsters, demons, or kids named Eric.  And with that, Hurley declared the inaugural meeting of the Anti-Adventure Club a resounding success.

Rincewind thought so as well. But because of alcholic intake he was unable to speak. And simply fell asleep on the floor.
