Everything at Hogwarts seemed to have changed so much! But as far as Luna could tell so far, it seemed to be for the better. The people seemed so friendly, and interesting as well. She was looking forward to getting to know some of them better

Seeing Luna, Ryuuji made a hasty detour. He was carrying a small sack of candies in one hand, and had a book in the other, having planned to head up to the roof for some fun along time spent munching candies and reading through his lovely birthday gift from Psyche.

Luna, however, had been fun at her sorting. It would be only polite to at least say hi to her. Stopping in front of the bench, he held the mouth of the bag open and offered by way of greeting, "Hi! Want a Rainbow Smiley? They turn each of your teeth a different shade of the rainbow if you suck them."

"Oh, hello!" She smiled up at him, taking a candy from the proferred bag. "Thank you very much." She held up her soda can. "Want a sip?"

"Depends - what is it?" Cautious as usual, Ryuuji smiled back at her even as he tried to make out the label on the can, and searched to see what the list of ingredients was. "And you're welcome for the candy. They're a little minty at first, I find, but then they turn sweet."

"Moxie, it's a kind of soda. Not sold very many places. I like it."

"Sure, then. Thanks!" Taking it from her hand, Ryuuji took a sip, then blinked. "Hm... Kinda like root beer, except a little more bitter."

He passed it back to her with a shrug, then canted his head at her bench, "Why are you here instead of the Ravenclaw dorms - that's where you got sorted, right?"

"Yes, I'm in Ravenclaw... well, back in Ravenclaw." She took the can back with a small nod. "But if I spent all my time in the dorm, I'd never meet anyone from the other houses, would I?"

"Good point there. And you'd probably end up having alcohol spilt on you at some point." Ryuuji laughed, then popped a candy in his mouth, "Do you know anyone from the other Houses?"

"Alcohol?" She tilted her head, puzzled. "And not really, not yet."

"Yeah, the Ravenclaw bar. Haven't you seen it yet?" He tilted his head in return, giving her a slightly curious look. "And oh, okay. We usually have a few parties every now and then so maybe you could come to one of those? Too bad you missed my birthday - that had been pretty cool, I hired an amusement park and everyone just hung around there."

"Oh, that sounds like fun! Happy birthday, then, even if it is a bit late."

"Thanks! And yeah, it was pretty great. I had a lot of fun with everyone." He gave her a quick grin, then asked lightly, "So, what else are you into? Obviously reading, but anything else?"

"Well, muggles would probably call it cryptozoology. There isn't really a wizarding word for it."

"...Crytozoology?" He turned the word around his mouth, trying to break it down. "Studying frozen animals?"

She laughed. "Cryptozoology. Obscure animals. The ones that most people think may not exist."

"Oh." Breathing a sound of understanding, he canted his head at her, "Like the Loch Ness monster - you'd go try to find it?"

"Exactly like that." She grinned at him.
