Slughorn stood nervously outside Minerva's door. He pulled out a small pocket mirror and looked himself over: mustache combed and straight, dress robes looking prim and proper with a brightly colored carnation in the button-hole, everything place. He put the mirror back and, taking a deep breath, knocked on her door, a boquet of flowers in his other hand.
