Slug Club #2, Part1

OOC: Here we go, the second meeting. I liked the way the potions class was done, and since this is a fairly interactive club meeting, we'll do it thus: Sluggy will wait for everyone to arrive, then in another thread, he'll explain what's going on and characters will have a chance to react. After that, he'll post a wrap up! Hope you enjoy!

Dr. Wilson! *immediately goes over, claps a hand on his shoulder* I'm so happy you could make it! Oh but please, none of this 'Mr.' it's much too formal. Horace will do, or Sluggy if you prefer. Many do. Please sit down. Care for some refreshments? *gestures to the table of tea, coffee, muffins and other various treats and sweets*

Oh well I've been around. *smiles* Used to be the old potions professor and Slytherin's head of house. *proud, oh yes* I do get around, here and there, trying to keep up with the applicants and run my club and just enjoy the retired life for now.

Now, you're a doctor if I'm correct, yes? What type of work is it that you do? *seems genuinely interested*

Yes. I hope you're not too disappointed that I work in a Muggle hospital. *wry look*

Not at all! Muggles need healing as well, I suppose. They can't exactly pick up a potion or do a healing spell. *winks*

Potions is absolutely fascinating. Are you taking the class? Taught Severus myself, I did. He's a bright lad and a brilliant teacher. I'm sure he'd love to have you!

It's true, they can't. They tend to be a little leery of unproven techniques, but I'm hoping to try and transfer some of less... obviously metphysical wizarding techniques into practice. *arches an eyebrow*

Well, with a teacher like you, I'm sure Professor Snape can't help but be a master at his work.

Absolutely! Though I highly doubt you'd do horribly. You seem like a brilliant young man and Severus has the utmost patience for those with the desire to actually learn something.
