I'm leaning towards Gryffindor for you, sir? Do you have any spandex in your wardrobe? And what sort of books are you offering as your bribe?

You're French, right? Got any croissants?

Not with me, but there's a bakery just up the street. I could pick a few up for you after work, if you'd like.

That would be good! You like to uphold the law, right? A lot of police people are in Ravenclaw. Are you a hero or are you actually ambitious and cunning? I hope it's the latter. Heroes are getting SO boring!

Hee! Your icon makes you look as though you've a balloon for a head!

Actually, several people have mentioned that to me before. I ran out of snarky remarks on brain size years ago.

And hero? No, not really. I spent a good portion of my life chasing after M. Leblanc/Valjean for breaking his parole, only to kill myself because he showed me kindness. I'm certainly not proud of that.

Wouldn't it be great then if you both shared the same room?

And you killed yourself because of kindness? A lot of the Slytherins aren't shown a great deal of that either.

It was more...confusion. I lived by the law, and died when I chose to break it by freeing M. Valjean.

Oh, yes! We've agreed that sharing a flat would be mutually beneficial. Give us the chance to talk things over and all that.

Spandex? No, I'm afraid not. Most everything is a bit older than that. Greatcoats, waistcoats, a top hat, that sort.

As for the books, they're mostly French classics...in French. I also have a rather scruffy copy of the Bible, and a few volumes of Greek philosophy from a thoughtful, but foolish, co-worker who thought I needed some perspective.

The books aren't doing much for me, I'm afraid. The top hat, on the other hand, is more interesting! I would like to meet your top hat someday. Does it talk to you? Despite your lack of spandex, I do believe you belong with the spandex brigade. Those breeches were the forerunners of spandex. I should know - I was there when students were wearing them under their robes!
