"Doctor? Another companion?" Turlough rolled his eyes. "Well, at least you're not ginger too."

[chipsandwich]

"Another what?" Clyde glared defensively at the man's attitude. "I think you've got some kind of wrong idea, and I think you might need to change that."

[vislor_turlough]

"Not like that you idiot, you've traveled with the Doctor?"

[chipsandwich]

"I... no, no, I met him a few times. A friend of mine used to know him." He was not going to bring up the whole bodyswap thing.

[vislor_turlough]

"Oh. Well. Anyway. You know him, so I won't be a complete jerk to you. What's your name?"

[chipsandwich]

"Oh, I like that. I've met some flaky alien so I'm all right, is that it? I can't say I'm impressed, so you can call me Lord Clyde."

[vislor_turlough]

Turlough snorted. "If you're Lord Clyde, then you can call me Duke Turlough."

[chipsandwich]

"How many worlds you saved, then? I didn't get to be 'Lord Clyde' for my dashing good looks and sparkling sense of humor, you know."

[vislor_turlough]

"You? Well, I suppose you have to start saving worlds young. I'll have you know I'm part of an Imperial family."

[chipsandwich]

"Well, la-di-dah, Imperial Duke Family. I'm who I am because I'm smart, I don't give up, and I've got friends to be strong for." Not that they seemed to be here, but he wasn't going to give up over that.

[vislor_turlough]

"They're not going to help you here, sadly, unless they've shown up. But then again, you survived an adventure with the Doctor." Turlough shrugged. "You'll be fine."

[chipsandwich]

"Oh, listen to you, on about the Doctor again. You'd think he was the only one to save the world, to hear you talk."

[vislor_turlough]

"Universe, actually. He's better at it than you are and did it more often, I'd think."

[chipsandwich]

"Well if you love him so much, why don't you marry him? Some of us manage quite well without a ...whizzing time thingy, drawing attention to ourselves."

[vislor_turlough]

Turlough frowned. "That's impossible, I'm afraid." He looked a bit sad before turning his gaze to the application. "Hm. That Slytherin answer's pretty witty."

[chipsandwich]

...and now he felt like a dick, because that expression wasn't hard to read at all. "Do you actually have to do that here? Tend bar, I mean."
