"I what?" It occurred to him that if there were creatures like this about, he could have talked himself up a bit more. He could at least have bragged about some of the things he'd done. Like the Sontaran. That wouldn't have been too far-fetched, would it? And was he going to have aliens telling him he smelled for the rest of his life?

"What? Like, magic?" Probably some kind of alien technology. That's what Sarah Jane would say. She'd also... well, she'd want him to find somewhere safe, but after that she'd want to find out as much about it as she could.

Alien beings not grasping slang was something he was used to. Hell, he was used to it from Luke, although he'd improved considerably. "It means it's impressive."
