[Closed, Turlough, Kusu] The future?

They were still bugging him, those visions. The more he thought about it, the more he thought that it was from his future all right, but he wanted to be sure. The Doctor wouldn't tell him, and Turlough wouldn't blame him for it, but he wanted to know.

So it was to the professor of divination he turned to.

Turlough knocked on the door.

Kusuriyuri almost half expected Kuronue to show up, but the wards didn't change, so it had to be someone who was human. He rose and went to the room, just to be sure, to be ready. "Ah, Turlough-san. It has been a while. Please, come in." He stepped in and added more water and tea leaves to the pot on his desk and pulled out another cup, setting it across from him. There was already a cushion on the floor across from him.

Turlough removed his shoes and sat down across from Kusuriyuri. "I would not normally bother you with this, but...well, the only other person that could answer this would be very reluctant to do so, I think. And if it is what I think it is, then you're probably a better bet."

Kusuriyuri raised an eyebrow, pouring tea into Turlough's cup. "What is it that you require?" he asked.

Turlough sipped the tea, gathering the right words. "You're aware of the recent experiment of the Hat's, that Hat Shore thing? During the boot camp thing, one of the tasks was to stand on your head until you receive visions. I thought it bunk but...I did."

Kusuriyuri nodded. He had been aware of the 'entertainment,' but had done what he could to avoid it, finding it humiliating and far too intrusive. "A vision?" he prompted, picking up his cup of tea.

"Yes. Images, mostly. Myself, the Doctor, the Master, some girl I don't know, a volcanic planet, and...there was a man. I've never seen him before, but he seemed so familiar to me. And..." his hand drifted to his arm. "I have a brand on my arm. I feel that it's important there." He sighed. "I get the feeling I might have seen the future, which is why I'm reluctant to ask the Doctor about it."

Kusuriyuri listened, waiting a moment after Turlough stopped talking. "The future is changeable," he murmured, taking a sip of tea. "The brand, it means something to you?"

"It..." Turlough shut his eyes. "It's the mark of a criminal. I was branded after being convicted of crimes against the people. I'm no saint, but it was mostly because I was part of the Imperial Clan. There was...a revolution. I was lucky to be exiled. I don't even really know what happened to my family."

Nodding, Kusuriyuri said, "It is the common practice. Your Doctor, and the Master, how did you come to know them?" To fully understand what Turlough's vision meant, it would help to know as much as possible about those involved in it.

Turlough gave a rueful smile. "I tried to kill the Doctor. I had believed that if I did, I would be able to go home. Over time, I got to know him, and get fond of him, and learn of how I was deceived. He agreed to let me travel with him. AAs for the Master, well, the Master likes to stir up trouble just to get the Doctor's attention."

Kusuriyuri took another sip of tea. "And, this planet, was it one you knew? Or is it one that you think that you will know?" he asked.

"It is not one I've been to. I would have remembered a volcano planet. One I will know....I think it is. It is certainly a possibility. When all of space and time is at your disposal it's not impossible. And considering it's both MY Doctor and MY Master there, I think it will happen soon. Probably when I eventually leave here."

"And this is something you do not desire?" Kusuriyuri asked. "To return to your place and forget all that has happened here?" he clarified.

Turlough sipped his tea, considering. "I don't know," he finally said. "As much as I personally hate this planet, I've found a niche here, and people I would consider friends and loved ones. But I do wish to go home someday, even knowing that it'd probably spell my death."

"Their presence here makes you long for what was, to return to your time, your home? Yet, here has become a home, as well?" Kusuriyuri asked, pouring more tea for both of them.

"Yes." He sipped. "I just wish I knew why that dark haired man felt so familiar to me, though I have no idea who he is."
