Dean ignored the note, he'd be going to look for Sam of course. But first he needed to know what happened, so he knew what to say when he found Sam.
There was a knot of anxiety in his gut as the hunter made it Hufflepuff, it took him a few moments but he finally found Sookie's room.
He nearly hesitated and didn't knock, almost just went to find Sam. But he knew he couldn't run blind and so he raised his hand and knocked on the door.
She moved to open the door, she looked like crap and she had been crying even if she wasn't at that point.
Her first response was to tell him to go after Sam, before he got it in his fool head to do something stupid. But Dean looked worried, so she moved to unlatch the door and stepped aside to allow him in.
She walked over sitting down on the end of the bed. Her shoulders sinking.
" I tried Dean." she said quietly. " He..." she brought her hand up. " He broke it off with me. He wasn't..." she looked to him tears once again down her cheeks. " He needs you. It doesn't really matter what happened between he and I. He wasn't serious about me. But even at that I still love him and I am worried. So you have to help him. Please."
"Bullcrap, Sammy isn't a love 'em and leave 'em type of guy. That's my thing." He said it more gentle than the words may sound like. It had to be some thing else and some thing that happened between them triggered it.
If Dean knew Sam, this had to do with protecting her, from the Winchester curse, from what ever it was Lorne told him was in his future.
"It does matter, what was said before he left? I need to know."
" That's exactly what he did Dean." she said looking to him.
" Yeah." she shook her head bitterly. " He said it was something he had to do alone. Whatever Lorne said to him. He wouldn't tell me more than that." even though she knew more than that, it would be hard to explain how she did.
"That's not Sammy, it can't be because he doesn't care."
Any thing else the hunter had been about to say was cut off as he caught sight of a piece of paper, with a familiar name on it. He snatched the paper up and looked at Sookie.
"How the hell do you know Crowley?" He didn't mean to but seeing the demon's name immediately made the hunter worry that some how Sam had been set up.
She shook her head " He told me he loved me then not even 30 minutes later he dumped me." she shrugged a little " I just.."
She looked to him as he snatched up the paper. " I don't." she answered. She moved over plucking out the rest of the letters sans the one that had been burned and tossed them on the desk near Dean.
" Obviously, you and Sam do though." she said folding her arms across her chest.
"He's scared of somethin' hurtin' you. Kinda goes with the territory of us lovin' some one." Especially Sam he thought and Dean worried now just what state of mind his younger brother was in.
"What do you.." Then Dean stopped and began to shuffle through those letters. When he saw that part about reading his name in a dream Dean stopped and for one moment looked at Sookie, so she was a physic. But he didn't have time to get in to that.
"What all did you see in Sammy's head about this bastard? You gotta tell me all of it." Because if she didn't, then he couldn't stop Sam from what Dean was very afraid he was going to do.
She brought her hand up pinching the bridge of her nose. " It's not just up to you, or him. Pushing me away and keeping secrets ..." she shook her head trying to keep her self from tearing up.
" He's in trouble Dean." she got out. " Some kind of path and just Crowley Crowley Crowley... at the head of it all." she looked to him. " I just seen a little...and I didn't even mean to see that. All he said was he had to do it alone."
"Yeah, I know that and so does Sam, but he's stubborn."
Her words chilled Dean to his core, Sam was in more trouble than she might think. He grabbed those notes "I'm takin' these.", no way was Crowley talking his way out of this one. The hunter shoved those notes in to his pocket.
"You stay here, in case he comes back. I'm gonna find him." the hunter turned and walked back to the door, opening it he looked over his shoulder at Sookie.
She didn't get why he was taking the notes but she was also not in a good mind set anyway. She figured there might be some backlash from Dean finding out about her head thing, and because she had contacted Crowley.
" Dean...I've never been in your head. If that makes any difference at all." she looked to him, her expression worried. " Please be careful, with whatever is happening."
"Yeah, you don't want to go there. It's not a nice place." But it did mean some thing, he had been mind controlled, had angels, well Cas show up in his dreams. Not to mention, inside his mind were horrors he wouldn't want any one to see.
"You just hold down the fort, I'll be back." He couldn't say much else, he was worried about Sam and it was setting him in to panic mode so with that said he walked out and shut the door behind him.
Dean scribbled a quick note back.

This wasn't good and Dean felt his stomach drop, what was going on with Sam.
He cleared his throat as he moved away from the door and then looked back at Sookie.
"What happened? Where's Sammy?"
