Reality Show Event 2: Hat Shore Boot Camp Swamp Edition! (Hat Shore Participants)

Feb 04, 2011 22:40

Clearly, the residents of Hat Shore needed something to do to keep from getting restless, much like a giant hamster ball. But once the idea of shoving everybody into a giant hamster ball had been nixed, the next best thing had been arranged: a boot camp! It would get everybody out into the open air, give everyone a chance to burn off energy, and ( Read more... )

Beowulf ought to be good at climbing, right?

Except that tree octopi were ... oddly alluring ... really, one could think of them as monsters....

The Geat writhed on the ground beneath a gaggle of tree octopi. He made no progress.

((Good excuse for Starscream to finally make an appearance...))

Fleshlings had intrigued Starscream on first encounter, but all it had taken was a few days spent on Earth to thoroughly kill most of the scientific curiosity he'd held for them. Based on his observations they were exceedingly primitive life forms, bent on the destruction of their own species and home planet(s), and their pathetic, short lives -- when compared to his own lifespan of several million years -- revolved utterly around recreational procreation, judging by their media and popular culture ( ... )

While Yukimura was missing both Sasuke and Kuronue physically, the activity was welcome. He enjoyed the challenge of avoiding the tree octopi, though it did take him a while to get past them and a few of the drop bears were almost too close for comfort. He did get through, though, unharmed and passing the large and loud Geat that sounded as though he were enjoying himself too much to be interrupted.

"Wanna hand?" Kuronue asked, catching up to Yukimura quickly. He was cheating and not using his wings, but he still was getting attacked by rabid...bear things.

Yukimura looked at Kuronue. "I was just thinking of you," he teased, taking his lover's hand. "Was this your idea or something of the Hats?" he asked. The confines were rather too close for him to comfortably draw his sword and make use of it, or to really pull the sheath from his obi, so he was having dodge the strange falling things.

"Hat Shore in general or me inviting you?" he asked, eyebrows rising. He squeezed Yukimura's hand a little. It was rare they went without some kind of contact more than holding hands, and it...annoyed him a little.

He flipped the giant robot cameraman off.

"Being here, the both of us," Yukimura clarified. "Though, I'm sure you would enjoy the room I have. The whole thing is reflective, the walls, the floor, even the bed covers," he said, a smile curving his lips as he wove his fingers between his lover's.

"Oh, that's interesting," he said, grinning widely. "No, I didn't know you were going to be here," he said, though he honestly wasn't sure what he was getting into when he signed up for it all.

"My roommate is a cat," he said. "He's taken over one of the drawers to sleep in so I have two beds to myself," he grinned widely and wiggled his eyebrows. "You know, in case you feel the need to sneak into my room one night. We could probably lock him in the drawer and he wouldn't notice." It wasn't like they hadn't fucked before sleeping people (namely five year olds) before anyway.

"My roommate is a vampire, but not like V-san," Yukimura said. "He does seem a bit dim, though very enthusiastic." He pressed close to Kuronue to avoid one of the drop bear things. That it allowed him to give his lover a quick hug was entirely incidental.

"A bit dim?" he repeated, tone dry. It took him a second to process it. "It's not George, is it?"

The hug was over too quick. Far too quick. He wanted more things to fall. Again and again and again.

"You have met him?" Yukimura asked, his own opinion echoing Kuronue's desire. He wasn't sure if something, however brief, was better than nothing, but he'd had to deal with nothing for far too long.

"Unfortunately," he said, sour faced. "Not the brightest example of human soldiers..."

He looked up to the dome, at the sky, then around them. His lips curved lightly. "These rules set by the Hat are ridiculous, you know."

Yukimura followed Kuronue's gaze. "They are, but you did involve us in this love," he said, moving close again to avoid a tree octopus. "And, if you try too much, that robot will do to us what it did to that loud one," he said, his lips twisting into a wry expression.

"Then, can we find somewhere, you know...off camera? Bathroom or something?" Less than charming, but it may have been one of the few places they could manage to be together.

He slipped his arm around Yukimura's waist, used the excuse of pulling Yukimura out of the way of falling octopi to keep him close.

"That would be...something," Yukimura murmured. "Better than the nothing we've had. Tonight, then?" he asked, not really wanting to disentangle from his lover even as he did move away.
