Now, Wishbone hasn't seen Death. Unless dogs are just that damn special.

But he sees a friendly face, and he definitely smells butter.

So they meet.

BUTTER! Wishbone lapped a bit up. Hi!

[endlessgoth]

"Aww, aren't you a cutie." She knelt down and scritched the little dog's ears.

"So what is with the butter?"

[woocha]

I like butter. Butter's tasty. I'm Wishbone! he said, licking Death's hand.

[endlessgoth]

She smiled, "Hi Wishbone. I'm Death. And butter's tasty on things to eat, I've never been covered with it though. I guess I should count it as a new experience then, huh?"

[woocha]

Death? Then it clicked what she meant.

OH NO! Wishbone cried, hiding behind kernels. I DON'T WANT TO DIE YET!

"No, no, hey, it's okay," she said soothingly. "It really is. I'm not here to take you anywhere. Promise."

Death sat back on her heels and rubbed at her greasy hair. "And I don't think I could, even if I needed to."

Wishbone poked his head out. Really? He inched closer. Okay. He licked at her hand again.

"Promise. I thought I was going to visit my sister, but I wound up getting detoured."

She looked around, "This place does seem familiar. Where are we again?"

Hogwarts! Wishbone said, tail wagging. It's a school to learn magic!

"Hogwarts, huh?" She looked around, sensing the power in the school. It wasn't anything constructed by her family or any other higher power she was aware of.

"Cool. I could use a little vacation, even if the introduction is a little weird."
