Paper Anniversary (Closed RP: Yukimura, Kuronue)

Kuronue dragged a chest down the hall from his room and into Yukimura's, then set about stripping their cupboard bare and throwing whatever he thought they might need into it. Even his samovar set and a few of their toys. He was wearing his jeans again--he was slowly getting used to

Yukimura was aware that Kuronue was excited about something. That was hard to miss with their connection. Just what, though, he couldn't figure out. As he was finished with his tasks for the day, he pondered making Kuronue wait a little longer by stopping by the Little Green Apple or simply returning to his room. There was a little too much giddiness to what was coming through, though, for him to do that to his lover.

He walked, taking his time, just for the fun of it, directly to his room, pausing as he opened the door. The trunk in the middle of the room was the first thing he saw. "What is this?" he asked, slipping out of his geta as he entered the room more fully.

"We're going on that trip we talked about," he said, tilting his head a little and turning back to the cupboard. He took all of Yukimura's shoes and dumped them into the chest, which showed no sign of filling up any time soon.

He looked up at Yukimura and grinned. "We've been mated for about a year now. I can't remember the exact date but it was around about now. Kind of." He rolled a hand and then waved it in a dismissive gesture. "So we're celebrating. I've spoken to people, they know we're going. I assume Sasuke knows already though. Or he does now."

His eyes went up to the ceiling and then around the room, looking for the ninja he knew would be around somewhere--in vain of course.

Yukimura was aware of Sasuke's presence but didn't give away his location now. He believed that when his shinobi was ready, he would make himself known to Kuronue. "This would be about half-way between when you brought me the peddler and when we marked each other," Yukimura replied, watching a little bemused as his things were packed wholesale. He looked into his closet, raising an eyebrow at how much was missing from it. "Things are now at a place we can leave?" he asked, walking over to see if anything other than a few obi remained and if the closet had revealed the location of that outfit.

"The we can celebrate while we're away." It was close enough. He couldn't remember his own birthday so he'd gotten used to celebrating things on the fly. He watched Yukimura inspect the closet,rather amused.

"I believe so. Karasu has popped and Apos is no where to be seen. That other asshole from the sorting room seems to have vanished." He shrugged. "Now is as good a time as any, don't you think?"
