He wanted to avoid talking about Yukimura though, otherwise he knew he'd just get angry and, really, Mello didn't deserve his anger. SO he said nothing on being his pet, though he wanted to say that it was actually the other way around. It made him think of how Yukimura had been bound and left to die.

"What hole have you been hiding in, I haven't seen you around in a while." He looked down at Mello, raising an eyebrow. He tried real hard to not think of Mello in some of that interesting human fetish gear he'd seen.
Not that it was like he wasn't already waltzing around looking like a wet dream anyway.

But Mello could be useful. Like it or not, the kid knew spells Kuronue did not. He could learn things from him. The details he could leave to Yukimura.
His eyes darted away. It took him a long moment to decide how to phrase it. "Karasu," was all he could manage in the end. His name was spat, rather than uttered or hissed. The name had never been so black and filthy before.

It was at this point in time he realised that he hadn't seen Apos in a while. It made him wonder. Had Kurama ended up going through with that plan of his?
Still, he reached out and gently pushed Mello's hand down. "While I appreciate it, this is my fight. Kurama has agreed to help me."

He wanted to hunt him down and hurt him, kill him. Make him suffer as Kaga, Yukimura and Kurama had suffered. The countless others he'd affected too. They deserved their revenge.
But he would be the one to do it, even if hell froze over.

He sighed. "But I stand a better chance than anyone else. I can deal with the pain better than anyone else, psychologically or otherwise. If the peddler or Matt can word around the ward thing...well that would be great."
He slipped his hands into his pockets. He didn't want to answer questions, especially if Mello thought he would evade them straight off. "What do you want to know?"

I look around, sliding my hands in my pockets. "I'm sure you don't want to go far," I say, since we're in Slytherin hall, "but, do you really want to talk here?"
