Things were quiet over in Terezi's corner of the sorting room, so she decided to wander over and find out who else was fighting their way through the process. Finding her fellow applicant, she sniffed appreciably.

"You smell like blueberries," she announced with a smirk.

Finland looked at the strange...thing. Heh, kind of awesome to look at, at least, but nothing he was interested in at the moment.

He just raised an eyebrow and took a swig.

So that was how he was going to play it. Silent, vaguely unsettling staring. At least, that's what Terezi assumed he was doing; the blue and green she could smell certainly wasn't moving around much. "A real charmer, aren't you?"

Finland rolled his eyes. He did not need to charm.

"So is your blood blue, or just your shirt?" She'd thought that all humans had red blood, but honestly, this guy was acting a little like some of the higher-caste trolls she knew.

Because yes, troll blue bloods literally had blue blood. Terezi's was kind of teal.

Okay, now Terezi's annoying.

Finland got up, raising his knife.

Terezi caught the tang of metal. Metal generally meant some kind of weapon - or robot, which often amounted to the same thing. She deployed a segmented, spiked cane from her strife specibus.

Oh? Now this was interesting. Only one person has ever had the nerve to stand up to him, and that was the Aland Islands.

But, could this...thing hold her own like Aland had?

Finland swung his knife.

Movement. Almost too quick for Terezi to smell. She brought the cane up to block the knife, then separated the segments with a faint click, swinging one end toward Finland's shins.

"Not bad," she hissed. "Do you often try to stab blind girls? That's low."

"I stab everyone." Except Sister Sweden. But that's another story.

And Aland. For obvious reasons.

And FennoSwede, since Sister Finland would kill him.

The point is, the cane connects with Finland's shin.

"PERKELE!" Finland cries, crouching down to grab either his shin or the cane.

The cane snapped back together, although Terezi kept it at hand rather than stowing it back in the caneKind card. "So it's just your standard method of interacting with people, then," she commented, as if filing this information away for future use.

"Hmph." Finland picked his knife back up and flopped into the chair, reaching for his beer.

"Alright, then. See you around, blueberry," she said, and turned to go.
