"Nope!" Ryuk said while smiling. "That's why I like having a Death Note. No blood necessary, only if you want to."

In V-World, something that looked like this thing would probably not be all too uncommon, Amanda guessed.

"What are you talking about?"

[ringo_raver]

"I kill people. I write their names in my Death Note, then forty seconds later, bam! Dead of a heart attack."

"Cute." Amanda studied her fingernails. Gods, was this really what the holoband had been invented for?

"Maybe in my hands. Gave it to a kid once, he went on a genocide. Best five years of my life."

"I'm impressed." Amanda was clearly unimpressed. "What kind of a power-up did that give him?"

[ringo_raver]

"Oh, like he needed one, he already thought he was a god. Really funny when he was finally caught though, flailing about like a fish."

"Genocide isn't funny," said Amanda Graystone, flatly. "Who programmed you to think it was?"

[ringo_raver]

"Programmed, nothing. I'm a god of death. This is just a matter of fact to me."

"You don't look much like Hades to me." Amanda found herself wanting a cigarette. Amazing how avatars worked.

"None of us do." Ryuk stuck out his tongue. "You're not that human either."

(( Rather not get into metagaming with her, but the short answer is, she is human. She thinks she is in a virtual space. Hogwarts should interfere with attempts to read her. The demiseason ended on a cliffhanger so it is impossible to know. ))

"Difference is, I don't go around calling myself a god of death." Her fingers were practically itching.

"Yeah, well," Ryuk shrugged. "I know what I am at least." He pulled out his apple. "So why should I vote you into a house?"

"Why should you vote me into a house?" Amanda agreed. It was all ancient Tauron to her.

"Cause that's where you're supposed to stay in while you're here, though there are plenty of people that have moved elsewhere in this castle. But the main point is, if you're not voted into a house, you're kicked out and go back to wherever you came from."

"That actually sounds like a better deal." Amanda's mouth twitched.
