Amaranth picked at some of the Waldorf salad, never having eaten anything that contained both apples and mayonaise before.
She noticed Soichiro's puzzled expression and caught his comment. She meant to say something reassuring, but what came out was, "Ohway amnday. Oesday isthay eanmay ethay oodfay isway enchantedway?" She shook her head, listening to the words and shrugged ruefully, causing her breasts to bounce. "Iway uessgay atthay answersway ymay estionquay."
"You' Especially also what you re-speak?" Soichiro asked, turning to speak to whomever had spoken with him. It was his rotten luck that Amaranth's breasts happened to be right in his line of sight.
Amaranth frowned. "Iway on'tday antway ootaay," she said petulantly. "Ou-yay an't-cay ake-may e-may." Not being able to speak coherently had made her uncharacteristically petulant.
"But it has a child here!" Soichiro said, pointing to the various children running around. "Think concerning those! Those shouldn' t looks at the woman who exposes their ages!"
Poking at the jello with marshmallows, he took a little bite with his dinner and tried it.
"Taste does this strangely," Soichiro said. "[haatsu]?" he said in surprise. "Do I speak why strangely?"
