After everything strange that had happened this morning, Roxas was pleased to find Demyx and even more happy that he had agreed to come out with him. The blonde boy really needed a friend right now. He had just lost Axel to God knows what, his brain was on refried bean mode, and he was more or less confused. Confusion did not suit the young boy. So

Demyx was humming under his breath as he followed Roxas. Cheering the boy up sounded like a very good idea.

"So what's been new with you lately? How's the love life?" he joked

He glanced away. "She's back in Japan. At least, I'm assuming she is - she's popped."

"Sorry," Roxas frowned. It seemed to be getting clearer to the blonde that maybe his fear of being alone was justified. He had thought fixing things with Axel was the answer hadn't he? But now it was apparent that wasn't the case. This time Axel had left him. He probably deserved it. "I think that might have happened to our dear friend Number Eight as well..."

He couldn't bring himself to say the boy's name for fear he might turn a light mood into a dark one.

He shrugged slightly. "It happens. There are worse things that could have happened instead." Admittedly, most of them probably couldn't happen on school grounds. Changing the subject, he asked, "Where to first?"

Worse things could have happened he agreed. The unknown was something the blonde boy feared above all. There was still so much about this place he had yet to discover though, and who better to be his tourguide than Demyx.

"I was thinking we could chat over some butterbeer. The kids around here hype it up to be something almost as good as sea-salt ice cream."

He smiled to himself. What could possuibly be better than that?
