[Closed RP, Soichiro, Rika] Trip to Japan

Jun 26, 2009 12:50

With Yukiko's care being taken of, Soichiro owled Rika, saying he was ready to head out with her.

Truth be told, he was a bit apprehensive. What would he see when he got to Tokyo? What would Rika see at Hinamizawa? At least he had the consolation that the disguise spell worked.

Soichiro waited for Rika in the Gryffindor common room, near the

Rika left for the Gryffindor common room as soon as she got the owl. She isn't sure if she'll find anything in Hinamizawa, but Rika is still excited to see her home village. This trip is still mostly for Soi's sake, but Rika is glad to tag along and have this opportunity. Rika doesn't know what she'll find when she gets there, so she'd rather have the support of someone being with her.

Rika waves at Soichiro and stands next to him. She never used the fireplaces as transportation before.

"I already found a way there, we'd have to go to Diagon Alley," he said, already preparing the fireplace for flooing.

Rika nods, and watches closely at what Soichiro does. Rika had read a little bit on magical transportation methods since she doubts they would go to Japan in a normal way, so she is aware of flooing. Doing is a little different than reading about it, so she'll do exactly as Soi does to make sure they end up in the same place.

Once everything was ready, Soichiro stepped in the middle of the fire. "Diagon Alley," he said, and the flooing took effect.

The next thing Soichiro knew, he was stumbling out of a fireplace in one of Diagon Alley's pubs.

After Soichiro left, Rika copied what he did. Preparing the fireplace and saying "Diagon Alley" as she steps through.

She didn't expect to arrive so soon and almost bumped into Soichiro trying to regain her balance.

They helped each other up, before Soichiro led the way to the street. "There's a travel agency down the street. They use portkeys to get people to where they want to go. One of them goes to Tokyo." Soichiro frowned. "Not sure how to get to Hinamizawa, though."

"Where in Tokyo are we visiting first?" Rika asks. At Soi's last comment, Rika says, "Hinamizawa is a little bit outside of Okinawa in the mountainous area. It's close enough that some kids in the village went to the school in Okinawa, but for others the distance was too far to travel."

So if they are not able to get to Hinamizawa magically, then they'll need a rental car or something to get there.

"Hm. I know the one here has portkeys to places within the country as well as out. We should check the portkeys in Tokyo before making arrangements on muggle transport."

They were right outside the travel agency now, and Soichiro stopped to look at the times. "Looks like the next portkey to Tokyo leaves in seven minutes."

Again, Rika only has basic knowledge of the magic world's transportation, but after this trip if she wanted to go anywhere she would know what do to.

"Mii. Then we came here in good time. We're going to find your other self first, right? Where do you think we should be to find him?" Rika figures they can work out disguises once they get to Tokyo.

"Let's see," Soichiro looked at his watch, then at the clock listing the different time zones. "If I were me, I would be leaving work soon, most likely. We could try waiting outside the NPA, see if we see him."

Rika thinks that if Soichiro where that one, he would be glad this world has no Kira. That his son here is sinless.

"If we do miss him, he will probably have the same habits you did, so it wouldn't be hard to find him." Rika doesn't know how the other Rika's were before she took over, but no one noticed a difference between them.

"That is very true. I shouldn't be too hard to find." Soichiro paid for tickets and checked his watch again. "It will leave in a few minutes."

Rika doesn't say anything more and just waits for it to be time to go to Tokyo. Once there she'll check the portkeys for one to Okinawa, and then they can change their appearance.

They both stood around waiting until it was near time to go, where both of them (and a few others, mostly wizard business people) were given instructions on what to do.

Soichiro and Rika approached the portkey (appropriately enough, a fan). "I'll see you in Japan, then," Soichiro said with a grin and touched the portkey.

Rika returns the smile and touches the portkey that takes them to Tokyo. The trip gave a strange feeling, but that's probably just because it was the first time she used this transportation.

Wasting no time Rika informs Soi that she is going to check for a portkey to Okinawa. There is one, so Rika is relieved that they can be that close at least.

Did the wizarding world get a sadistic thrill by torturing its inhabitants or something?

Taking a minute to recover, Soichiro looked around before spotting Rika coming back. "Well?"
