Predictably enough, Chairman Kaga's made an appearance, drawn by Yuuri's curry setting off his fooddar.

Off to one side so that he didn't get caught up in the water war (cause that would NOT be good on his clothes), he enjoyed Yuuri's curry.

"...may I join you?"

Mikami had resolved to take Yukimura's advice and get out more. This seemed like a good opportunity. As usual, Masuyo was following close beside him. He didn't like the thought of leaving her alone for too long.

Kaga's eyes darted around momentarily. Okay. There are other people here.

"By all means," Kaga answered, waving to the nearby seats and smiling genially.

He noticed the moment of hesitation, but didn't comment on it. It was hardly strange, around here.

"Thank you." He sat down, leaving an empty seat between himself and Kaga. "We're out of the way of the battle here, I should hope. I'm Mikami Teru and this," he added, glancing down at the kitten as she wandered over to Kaga and sat down by his feet, looking up expectantly, "is Masuyo."

Kaga smiled and picked up Masuyo so she could join them.

"A pleasure to meet you. Kaga Takeshi."

Masuyo was very pleased to be picked up, and proved this by nuzzling against Kaga, purring loudly.

Mikami nodded. "I thought so. That is, I recognised you, but that's not why I came over here. But it's good to meet you also."

At this point a cry of "BEOWULF!!!" arose from the battlefield. Mikami flinched slightly, lowering his head. "...oh, wonderful."

Kaga smiled, a bit of a pleased smile (he did so enjoy it when someone recognized him), but an understanding one.

He jumped a bit at Beowulf's cry. "Yes. Well."

Mikami sighed, heavily. "I apologise in advance if he comes over here. Just don't do anything to make him regard you as a 'monster' and you should be fine."

Yes, we do mind. Closed to Kaga and Mikami. gourmetchairman June 22 2009, 20:56:40 UTC
Kaga looked somewhere between amused and horrified. "Does he like to fight monsters?" He looked askance at Beowulf. "It might be better if we moved inside, if you don't mind."

Mikami shook his head. "I don't mind, no. And he does, but that - is not what I'm concerned about."

"Let's get inside first, then," Kaga said, picking up his curry and offering a hand to Masuyo if she wanted to travel on him instead of Mikami.

Masuyo sniffed at his hand for a moment, but then went back to Mikami, who picked her up after taking up his own curry. "She doesn't like to let me out of her sight," he explained.

Kaga smiled. "Understandable. Cats know more than they let on," he added, thinking of Boukensha. "Where shall we go, then?"

"The Great Hall?" He looked out at the battlefield again. "I hope Rika doesn't think we're abandoning her."

"The festival will be there when we are done," Kaga said placatingly, as he led the way to the Great Hall.

Mikami nodded, following him. "True. And the cotton drifting isn't till nightfall anyway."
