Mikami had resolved to take Yukimura's advice and get out more. This seemed like a good opportunity. As usual, Masuyo was following close beside him. He didn't like the thought of leaving her alone for too long.

"Thank you." He sat down, leaving an empty seat between himself and Kaga. "We're out of the way of the battle here, I should hope. I'm Mikami Teru and this," he added, glancing down at the kitten as she wandered over to Kaga and sat down by his feet, looking up expectantly, "is Masuyo."

At this point a cry of "BEOWULF!!!" arose from the battlefield. Mikami flinched slightly, lowering his head. "...oh, wonderful."
