On the Green ((Open RP, Jing, Yukimura, Akabane))
Jing finds the weather here rather pleasant, when it's not pouring. He finds the steps of the castle a wonderful place to sit and observe the going-ons of the residents of this bizarre school, at least when he's not in the Great Hall.
On the grounds, he can see a samurai practicing archery, though it looks as though he's been at it a while, the human-shaped target becoming unrecognizable. But, there's something in his stance that speaks more of anger than of actual practice. Maybe it's the set of his shoulders? Maybe it's that every other shot hits the target in the groin? Maybe it's the set of his jaw when he pushes back his hair? If Jing knew him better, he might go over and talk to him. He may decide to at some point anyways, but for now, he'd watch.
Another thing that keeps him where he is is that he sees a predator under a wide-brimmed hat watching the samurai as if sizing up a meal. He watches for a bit and Jing is fairly sure the samurai knows he's there and is deliberately insulting him by not turning around. Or maybe it's something between them that if the samurai turns, they will fight. The tension between them is thick. Though, for some reason, the man in the hat smiles, touches the brim of his hat and walks off, crossing the grounds openly. The tension between them is still there, but it's changed.
Jing looks around now, taking in the blooming gardens, the misplaced grove, and the forbidden forest with the air of a king surveying his land. Though, soon, this young thief will need for entertainment. For now, though, he is content to reign from the steps of the castle.
