"You make it sound as though sexuality is something you are uncomfortable with," Yukimura observed, leaning on a column near one of the doors. Today, he is wearing a very feminine kimono.

((OOC: It would be completely normal to think Yukimura is a woman...he has a female Japanese voice actor and the mun is enamored of the seiyu...and sorry for the double post))

"What? No." He smiled uneasily, affronted but trying not to let it show. "I'm not... uncomfortable." He smiled again, more genuinely now because, hey, she was hot. "Just seemed like weird questions. I don't know what I was expecting. Been a weird day, you know?" he said shrugging. He held out a hand. "I'm Jesse."

Yukimura smiled, knowing the newcomer had taken him for a woman and letting him continue to think so. "It is a rather strange experience to come here," he said, taking the hand. "Sanada Yukimura," he replied, taking the proferred hand.

Yukimura raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Yes, you could say that. So, you've been told where you are, then?" He was a little curious as to just how far this boy would let him go before he realized that he was a man, but for now, it was amusing.

"Yeah, yeah. By this alien dude -- said we're in some kind of school for magic? I thought he was out of his friggin mind or seriously tweaking, but then there was this talking dog..." He shook his head and chuckled. "I don't know -- maybe I'm the one who's nuts and I imagined this whole thing." He smiled at her. "But hey -- at least I imagined something good!"

Yukimura wondered briefly if he meant Turlough by 'alien dude'. "I don't think you're imagining it," he said, laughing. "It's real, or as real as anything like this can be." He pouted. "I was taken from my home just before finishing a very important task." One that the arrival of his shinobi had assured him had been completed, but he was having fun playing with this one.

Yukimura looked over at the newcomer from under his eyelashes. "I don't think so, unfortunately. It was four hundred years ago." He smiled, a little sly. "And, I didn't think you'd want to comfort me."

Yukimura shook his head, laughing a little. "No, I was brought here, much like you. This place has little regard for time or place, it seems." He took a step closer. "There is another reason," he said, "or at least, I would think so, based on how you answered the questions."

"Uh..." Jesse thought back to the questions, squinting at Sanada. There was something kind of... odd, about 'her.' His eyes widened as a thought struck him. "Wait, wait, hold up. You're not saying... You are a..." He almost couldn't bring himself to say it, it sounded so foolish. "You are a chick, right?"

"A chick?" Yukimura asked, laughing. "I am not a bird, no, but," he said, leaning a little closer, "I will tell you a secret." He glanced around. "I am a male."

Jesse was tense as Yukimura leaned close, as if awaiting a blow. When he announced his secret, Jesse cringed and covered his face. "Aw, fuck, man. No way. Graahhh." He uncovered his face and looked at Yukimura. "Seriously, man?"

Yukimura lifted one side of the kimono, smiling as he did so. "You're welcome to check, if you want," he said, laughter very obvious in his voice.

"Nah, man, that's okay," said Jesse, waving a hand dismissively, the other hand rubbing his eyes. "I believe you." He glanced around them to see if anyone had noticed the exchange. "Jesus. Well, uh... That was an interesting plot twist. I've never, uh, experienced a situation like this. I guess I'm sorry? For like... calling you a girl?"
