Starman sidled up to the approximate location of the Voice, striving for inconspicuous. Unfortunately, he was completely unaware of how very much a glittery spacescape spandex bodysuit worked against inconspicuousness.

"Jacques?" he hissed out of the corner of his mouth. "What gives? Did Brainy rework the Plan again?"

The Voice was silent, as glittery spandex was enough to make even the Invisible Man avoid the crazy. Let the man talk to himself.

Starman nodded sagely. "Ohhhh, I see. This is one of those Espionage Squad thingies, isn't it?" He looked over one shoulder, then the other. "Don't worry, you can count on me!"

And he sidled oh-so-casually off a few steps to the side, whistling a commercial jingle and pointedly not looking in the direction of the Voice. He might as well have put up a neon arrow reading 'Invisible Dude Here.'

The Invisible Man moved around Starman until he was just in front of the superhero's costume. "Is there a man in there, or just a collection of incredibly dense hot air?"

Thom chuckled. "Jackie, Jackie, Jackie! I haven't used my power on myself, silly! I'm exactly as dense as I always am. Of course I'm in here!"

He looked around a little wildly. "Unless Projectra's with you and she's making me only think I'm in here. Maybe I'm really in the Great Hall! She's not here, is she? 'Cause after what she did to that guy on Orando, I think I'm a little scared of her..."

The Voice sounded amused, as if it couldn't believe what it was saying. "I'm afraid you must have me mistaken with another Invisible Man," it said. Griffin was not prone to sarcasm, so he left out a comment about how it was an easy mistake to make, since Invisible Men looked so much alike.

Starman blinked in confusion, the motion visible through the mask.

"...Lyle? But - but, you're dead! Aren't you?"

"Wrong again." There were more? "How did you come to be in the company of so many invisible people?"

"Oh, that's simple. I'm a Legionnaire! We've all got powers. Well, technically not Brainy, 'cept that we counted 'being real smart' as a power. Or Karate Kid. Or Triplicate Girl once the bad guys killed her two spare bodies. But everybody else!"

"Then what's your power?" the Voice asked.

"I make things heavy! See?" A beam of sparkling light emanated from Starman's hand, fanning out in the direction of the Voice, and the Invisible Man found himself subject to a dramatic increase in gravity.

Starman couldn't see the Invisible Man fall to his knees. "Stop!" the Voice cried out.

"Ooops. Sorry!" The light disappeared, and gravity in the Invisible Man's general direction returned to normal. "But there you go, you see."

"And you have other Invisible Men in your legion?" the Voice asked.
