"You scandalize them," Near says tonelessly, walking up behind Mello. He'd been ensconced in a corner stacking matchsticks, and had witnessed the exchange before abandoning them in favor of Mello's company. "If you described exactly what you wanted, they'd do it."
I glance over and Near and make a face. "I've tried. They're bound and determined that hot chocolate must be disgustingly sweet. They've tried to foist sugar off on me after I've made hot chocolate, too."
"Does your hot chocolate really taste better than theirs?" Rika feels a bit annoyed from being taken away from her final world when everything was falling into place, but she keeps up her innocent and cheerful act. Nothing made her open up that christmas gift that switched that Rika for this one after all.
"I understand, I dislike the sickeningly sweet tasting treats," Rika smiles. "I guess others think that making things unnecessarily sweet somehow makes it better."
"Silver," Kurama began, with all the haughty air he could muster (which was a large amount, and he was in a playful mood) "is most glorious and dignified color. It invokes a sense of refinement, of debonair, and of something you seem to be severely lacking, which is to say class. To have a youthful face and silver hair is to have wisdom, grace, and beauty beyond most human conception."
