Yukimura stood on the steps of the castle, dressed in a simple red flowered kimono. The harvest season was slipping rapidly into winter. Soon, any practice would have to be within the castle. The katana on his hip soon sang through the air as he danced across the lawn with it. The kimono was more difficult to fight in than his normal clothing

"Not the most effective outfit to fight in."

Says the man who took down an assassin in a suit and tie.

Yukimura laughed. "That, actually, is the point. There are times when distraction," he paused and waved his hand, showing the, to him, obviously feminine clothing off.

Thank god crossdressing's one thing Dethklok hasn't done (yet).

"Hope they are distracted by a kimono-wearing man. Some people are singleminded and wouldn't notice until you're dead." The metal-masked assassin popped up in the back of his mind. Ofdensen shuddered.

"Many warriors will hesitate before striking a woman, or one they think is a woman. Those that won't, they would have to be faster than I am," he laughed.

[charlesofdensen]

"Many honorable warriors. But like I said, some people will cut down anyone in their way to get to their goal."

[elegantsamurai]

"I have fought both," Yukimura replied easily. "It is mostly a matter of wanting to kill them more than they want to kill you...or perhaps wanting to die less than they want you to." He laughed. "Whatever it is, I survive, they do not."

[charlesofdensen]

"Perhaps." Ofdensen was alive through sheer willpower and a chance unpopping after all. "I gather you're from a time period when fighting was a daily occurence?"

Yukimura laughed. "War ended four years ago, supposedly. However, there are many that require...elimination, being no longer human. And, another war will rage soon." He sighed. "I am a warrior, a samurai, before anything else," he said seriously then laughed.

[charlesofdensen]

"I see. Not gods, I take it?" This was relevant to Ofdensen's interests.

[elegantsamurai]

Yukimura tilted his head. "Gods?" he asked curiously. "No, more like people infected with demons." Nothing compared to real youkai, though. "Why do you ask?" he asked with a laugh.

[charlesofdensen]

"Some people are convinced my employers are gods and destined to bring about the apocalypse."

[elegantsamurai]

Yukimura tilted his head. "Are they?" he asked, as seriously as he ever was, which entailed the question being followed by a laugh.

[charlesofdensen]

"I don't know. I do know that there are too many...incidences for it to be a coincidence."

[elegantsamurai]

Yukimura considered. "They may only be chosen by the gods. They seem to lead...touched lives." Not always in the best of ways, but the lives of the god-touched were never dull.

[charlesofdensen]

"Either way, there is something going on. Normal humans do not amass this much power simply by singing. Not even the Beatles." Which, in Ofdensen's mind, was the last group to have anything resembling power.

"Beatles?" Yukimura asked quizically. "Bugs sing?"
