[Sock] So... How'd the date go? - Luna Lovegood and George Weasley

Luna was headed down to the Great Hall for lunch when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned and immediately broke into a grin at George Weasley.

"So... How'd the date go?" George's voice had come out very hoarse and faint, and she noticed that he looked a bit worse for wear.

"Oh, I had a good time," said Luna airily, idly attempting to flip her hair in a flirtatious manner and failing completely. "It didn't start out so well, but the end was lovely."

"So you'll be seeing Lezard again?" George inquired, already beginning to see a future career in matchmaking the various and sundry freaks at Hogwarts with each other, given that he'd obviously done such a brilliant job of it.

Luna looked appalled. "Lezard? Merlin, no! I wouldn't go out with him again if you paid me. I got rid of him about halfway through the evening."

George looked at her, completely gobsmacked. "I... see. And... then what happened?" Talking to Luna was like watching an approaching trainwreck some days.

"I went with Strong Bad! We had a mission to the stars to prepare for!"

"Strong...Bad?" George wasn't familliar with the person in question, and wasn't sure he wanted to be.

"Oh, yes. Short bloke with a wrestling mask and boxing gloves. He's quite charming, really, in a... loud... sort of way."

"That's... um... brill, Luna." George said faintly.

He let her proceed him, and then turned back in the direction of Gryffindor. He probably needed to owl Lezard some kind of apology message before Lezard took it upon himself to teleport a horse's head into his bed, like in that Muggle movie. Too bad he didn't remember much about his previous stint at Hogwarts, or he might have thought to warn Luna that arse babies were not a good opening conversational gambit.
